I was able to replace my headphone jack with the included pieces.

Nice kit in that it comes with everything you need. The problem is the replacement tips themselves. I'm a novice solderer and it was really difficult to get the left channel wire connected to the end of the post. I ruined it and ended up buying another from Radioshack that had separate arms for each wire, and they had holes on each so you could pre-attach the wires before you soldered, which really helped. ​
