Just place one plant and in no time it will hide the floating device keeping the plants organized

Netting should be allowed to extend deeper than just 2 or 3 inches in water.

Love these to plant water lettuce in.

These are really great for keeping your floating plants in one place and safe from Koi who just love to nibble on your greens. I've used these to hold Water lettuce, Floating Hyacinths, Fairy Moss, Duck Weed and Water Cress (but if you use it for water cress be sure you position it in an area of the pond with Lots of water movement!). There's a little tab on the bottom which you can use to anchor the net in place using a pond weight, rock, etc. In my case I wanted the option of reeling it in from time to time to clean out any debris so I got some cheap airline tubing and attached one end to the tab on the net and the other end to a rock on shore. Now any time I want to add, change or remove plants I just pull on the line and bring it in without having to wade into the pond.

Is working to keep my koi away from my floating hyacinth.

I have a small pond but my goldfish will decimate plants so this is really quite nice for keeping them away from the tender new growth. It doesn't seem as deep as the drawing but I also haven't weighted the tab so that may be on me.

The fish barrier allows me to populate my pond with various pond plants in a way that is easy, flexible and protective to both the fish (helps provide shade and to deter predators, especially birds) and to the plants (prevents fish from eating the plants). The plants themselves are a valuable ingredient to good pond water balance and clarity.The picture shows seven of the fish barriers, they last multiple years and are reasonably priced.
