Looking forward to Book 3
I live in Pueblo, CO, where Jason Lewis was hit and left on the shoulder of I-25. I feel I should apologize to Jason for this inhumane disregard for his life. Luckily, Parkview Hospital and its staff were able to put him back together and he was able to continue his round-th-the-world person-powered quest. And decided to settle in this area.Jason's books are written as if the reader and he were sharing a beer at the local pub. Well worth reading for anyone with a sense of adventure, a sense of humor and a strong stomach. It's amazing what you can do if you just decide to do it, plan well and have good friends and strangers to help out along the way. His en-route video chats with classrooms add depth to his adventure.

Wonderous Expedition
Just finished the second book in The Expedition trilogy titled The Seed Buried Deep, by Jason Lewis. Jason has that rare talent that all good story-tellers have in that he takes you on the journey with him. Thus continues the "Expedition" of survival, successes and failures, make shift repairs, lost loves, life and death situations, being responsible for his crew mates and concerned parents, and searching for that moment of self awareness/reflection that has its own agenda. Your beer will blow out your nose from the humor Jason continues to deliver in that wonderous British style."He who flies highest sees the farthest" and "only that which is essential is seen through the heart". Two quotes from Jonathan Livingston Seagul and The Little Prince that describe the polarity of this adventure. I can't wait for the third and final chapter in this sojourn of love and strength that is so rare and uplifting to us all. This man is welcome at my campfire any time.

The saga continues! A Must Read!
Continuing the saga! I wish that Jason was better known - he is a modern day hero! What struck me most is his absolute honesty with himself about his motivations, the expedition, his life. A life well examined for sure! I wish everyone would read The Expedition Trilogy. I have gifted my set already to a friend and can't wait to share with others. Do not hesitate to buy these books! Your life will be changed!

A study in perseverance
Another excellent read from Jason Lewis. As in the previous, the mishaps come one after the other much like the waves pitching the author's pedal boat; however, as he, himself, matures in the story over the course of years the more interesting moments come from the deeper examinations of inner and interpersonal conflict. You'd be hard-pressed to find another adventure story with as many ups and downs, fiction or non-fiction. Hard to put down.

Must read!!
Who the heck is crazy enough to ROLLERBLADE across the USA? Probably the same guy who was crazy enough to paddle a tiny boat across the Atlantic Ocean...This guy is a modern day adventurer and excellent story teller. One of my favorite stories of adventure, endurance, and human nature.

A must read for everyone
Having read book one I was very keen to download the second one. The adventures, stamina, true grit Jason and his travelling companions have is utterly remarkable. It puts the majority of us to shame. I am determined to make more of the time I have left on this planet and may they string into many long years. As the book went on I became more aware of the amount of different subjects and abilities he had to learn and become professional at. I feel this is a book that every one should read. It. It may help the world become a far fitter and less consumer minded planet.Thank you Jason and all those hard workers behind the scenes who supported such efforts.

As inspiring as the first installment.
Taking up immediately where Dark Waters left off, The Seed Buried Deep continues in the same ex-military tone and style. Lewis remains as determined to complete the expedition as ever, despite numerous obstacles that would deter lesser men, and his descriptive recollections of incidents and conversations ensure a sharp, page-turning focus. With no requirement to focus on the pre-expedition administration, The Seed Buried Deep seems much shorter than the first installment. Nevertheless, the life-endangering encounters and logistical disruptions which all directly impact the chances of success, all serve to make this installment as equally compelling as Dark Waters.

Outstanding
Really looking forward to reading the third in the series of the first human powered navigation of the planet. Hard to get my head around the courage and fortitude that the first two books had. Sailing a pedal powered boat across the Atlantic and Pacific not to mention riding a 3 speed cycle and inline skates across the USA. There will be Kayaks and crocodiles to come. Makes us mere mortals look very small. Jason and friends had the guts to make the journey,I can only admire from the comfort of an armchair.Total "respect" as they say. Also looking forward to seeing the finished film.

Like his phenomenal expedition
This trilogy is seriously quite unlike other expedition/travel books you'll find. What luck that the author rejected a mega contract with an established publisher and chose to head out on his own. Like his phenomenal expedition, his book is bold, unconventional and true. Fantastic!

Awesome adventure - can't wait for Book 3!
After receiving Dark Waters - Book 1 for Christmas and reading that in January, I was going to ask for The Seed Buried Deep - Book 3 for my birthday. However, I couldn't wait that long and bought book 2 and was not disappointed. A fantastic journey, which will transport you to places you'll very likely never visit. Honestly written, thought provoking and entertaining, I can't recommend Jason's books highly enough. A few pounds you won't regret spending!

Five Stars are not enough.
Having read part one of 'The Expedition' I couldn't wait to get my hands, and more to the point, my eyes on part two. It was well worth the wait. Allow yourself plenty of time, for when you start to read it you will not want to put it down. My admiration for the courage and sheer guts along with an exceptional writing talent of Jason Lewis increases 'by the book'. Part two cannot be released quick enough for me.

A real adventure
An interesting book, I love the idea of crossing the Pacific in what is essentially a pedalo! I didn't really enjoy the stuff dedicated to the author finding himself so to speak but a great read none the less, I'm now looking forward to completing the trilogy.

A brave man indeed!
Book one was great this is even better, some would say he was mad to begin let alone continue after his accident, they need to get off the bums and get out into his world!! A brave man indeed.

Part Two of the Trilogy
LORD knows how Jason manages to make miles and miles of his journey condense down to hold your interest, but he does! Roll on the final instalment- looking forward to glimpses of more places I've never heard of!

Book was in a Terrible state
Excellent book, but very disappointed by the state of it. In parts difficult to read as it is so badly worn, lots of what looks like bits of food on many of the pages. Very very disappointed with my purchase
