Works well! No ground loop noise.
We have this connecting a music source to a PA amplifier about 80 feet away and the audio is clear, with no hum. I would definitely use this again.

Works well, looks good, lightweight and well built.
Device works really well thus far. The latency is not noticeable with a regular mouse, keyboard, USB wired headphones. Would like to know what the latency numbers are. Will be trying it with a racing wheel and pedals soon in an interactive racing game to make sure latency/jitter is not an issue. Nice aluminum case and lightweight. There is a grounding location on the box. I would suggest exposing more of the metal before adding a grounding wire.

Excellent piece of equipment.
I was going to run shielded cable until I found this device. I ran cat 6 100 foot from line out of one amplifier to line in to another. No ground loop hum. Very impressed.

Works Well, But...
This is the ticket for those who need to extend their USB capabilities beyond the 16' (or thereabouts) limitation. When it's up and running, the throughput is excellent, on par with being directly connected to your computers USB port. However, this unit lost a star in my opinion because of what seems to be a faulty design. When I shut my computer down, the link between the two powered ends goes dormant (that's ok), but when I boot my computer up again, it stays dormant. There is no on/off switch for the U-Link so I found out through trial and error that the only way to restore the link is to revert to the Neanderthal method of unplugging the Receiver end's power cable and reinserting it (which is essentially a power off/on but without the elegant benefit of a on/off switch or button). I talked with their tech support who were puzzled by this behavior and after going through a few techie gyrations, decided to send me another remote power adapter, thinking that was the culprit. I got the power cord, and (as I suspected), the units exhibited the exact same behavior. In my estimation, this 'glitch' is an 'undocumented feature' (tongue-in-cheek) that will catch buyers by surprise. The company can drastically reduce frustration (and returns) if they just mention in their materials that this is what happens... as they have no way (so far) of fixing it, short of reengineering the units. I will of course update this review should circumstances warrant. For now, I am content to unplug/replug the unit each time I reboot my computer because of the excellent connection it provides in a needed extension of my USB ports.

Works just as advertised
**UPDATE** After troubleshooting the issue I was having with audio cutting in and out, it turns out the problem was the amplifier settings I was using at the receiving end of the signal. I changed the settings, and the audio has quit cutting in and out. It just works as advertised. Further, I did some signal testing and compared it with a bluetooth audio solution (using Qualcomm CSR8675 chipset with aptX-HD, bluetooth 5.0). In my case scenario, this wired solution was better at maintaining signal fidelity than even the bluetooth 5.0 aptX-HD. It's also cheaper than a transmitting and receiver Qualcomm CSR8675 solution. ***end UPDATE*** This I was hoping this product could help me transmit audio via Cat 5e from PC Line out to an amplifier. It does work, but the sound cuts out from time to time -- about every 10 minutes or so, and it will be silent for a while, then the sound cuts back in. Very annoying and makes the device unusable as an audio device. You can't have the sound cutting in and out. I assume the signal voltage is dropping below some threshold at times on the receiving end. Maybe a powered version would be better for my needs.
