You get what you pay for.
I don't play the flute. I bought the YFL-362H for my wife because she still has her old student bundy from junior high. She kept asking me to hold off, wanting to get hers fixed and I finally put my foot down.As far as I can tell, it's great quality. Comes is a good hard case and has a soft case for the hard case. The only thing it's missing is a hard case for the soft case to cover the hard case. :)The only thing I'd do differently is shell out the extra money and go with the gold plated mouth piece. You're in it $1.7-1.8k, why not go the full distance? In for penny in for a pound am I right?

Easy and smooth and beautiful tone!
I love this Yamaha flute! It has been said that because of the way the air moves it is the perfect flute for those of us who play other instruments as well, I play the oboe. And I am thrilled to be able to effortlessly make beautiful music on this flute! I have previously played gemeinhardt and sankyo flutes and this Yamaha is the best 😁

Beautiful Flute
Thank you, Alto Music! Received quickly and in perfect condition!The Yamaha 362H is a beautiful flute and the sound is just as beautiful! I played in school for four years and off and on over the last 20+ years. I’ve had other flutes but Yamaha is my favorite. I actually had a more expensive flute (Pearl Dolce) that I sold because I just preferred the sound of the Yamaha. I finally decided to start really playing again and this flute was exactly what I was looking for. Love how Yamaha upgraded the Intermediate level flutes! The pointed keys are beautiful touch! The silver Headjoint sounds even better than my old Yamaha did. I highly recommend this flute for anyone looking to upgrade to a Intermediate/Advanced flute. This is not a professional flute so unless you are going that direction, this one should meet your needs. I also love the new case Yamaha has made for these flutes...a really nice French case with a carrying case to put it in. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase of this beautiful instrument!
