Better value than the garden centre and very easy to assemble
We had water lilies a long time ago... But then one spring a few of our fish decided to rumage around and they never recovered. But they are older and more lazy so i decided to give this a try, especially as it's far cheaper than the local garden centre. These are very easy to plant. When this arrives you get a pot, 3 roots wrapped in moss, a bag of pond soil, a bag of stones. Just pour in the soil, sit the 3 lillie roots in (any sprouts or leaves pointing up) then sprinkle the stones over the top. This would make a good gift for anyone with a pond and is a great option if you are just setting up a pond. After i planted i took a bucket of pond water and sat the pot inside. Within a day the shoots that were already vissible perked up and were growing, after a couple of days more shoots appeared. The ideal depth is 0cm - 60cm at most. My pond is deep. So i took an old plastic bucket, drilled lots of holes in the bottom and then took some cable ties to secure the pot to the outside bottom of the bucket, place the rim of the bucket on the bottom of the pond and your pot is raised and not falling off.** note if you do have large koi in your pond it's a good idea to place some large stones on the top to stop them digging out the bulb/root. I topped the pond up yesterday and came out to an empty basket and the 3 roots floating around the pond. Repot and a few large stones on top to stop them digging them out again. A lot of the soil is gone though so i will have to order seperately to top it up. The gravel included is just too light. A few heavy stones will easily stop any hungry fish. This is good quality and value. Recommended. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful.

Will take a while to review
These plants arrived quickly. Easy to assemble in basket. Hopefully they will grow and flower eventually.

Beautiful bloom
Great purchase just flowered the past few days . Really worth the money as garden centres are charging £40

Nice kit but not always successful.
Nice kit but I was disappointed that out of the three plants provided, only one flower arose; and even that only lasted around 24 hours. Want to recommend these kits but I can't.

Quality plants
I am very pleased with my purchase. I am new to the world of ponds so wasn’t too sure about what I wanted or needed. Having watched a plethora of videos on the internet they all recommended water Lillie’s . The preparation was easy and fuss free. I placed the basket into the pond and I was happy and surprised that within a four day period the leaves had broken the surface. Good quality plants that I would happily recommend if you want something easy to plant into your pond.

Two out of Three ain't bad!
Having read the reviews I was expecting problems but I took a chance and ordered these lilies. 2 of the 3 plants were fine but the 3rd one had disintegrated, it was just dust. Whether it was because air had got into the sealed bag it was in or some disease had got in, I don't know. I had read this in several reviews so was not too surprised. It was very simple to assemble the pot and plants, I did put the dust in the soil just in case but nothing has happened to that one. Everything needed was in the box. The 2 good plants have unfurled and have leaves on the surface and that's within 5 warm sunny days. I took a tip from one of the reviews and filled a plastic container with water and placed the plants in that rather than straight in to the pond. The pond is rather murky and not looking good and is in shade, so I need the plants to be strong when they go in the pond. I hope these and other plants I've ordered will sort the water problem out. I thought the description said it was for shallow water, 6-18 inches but in the instructions it suggests about 1.2 metres, deeper than my pond at the moment.

Excellent so far!
Delivered promptly on 11th and planted on 12th June in a container with pond water, picture1, after a day is picture 2. All 3 plugs looked healthy. Now,19th June, and they are already growing towards the pond surface being placed 1ft deep. Very happy!!It's the end of June now and I have several leaves at the pond surface, this is an excellent plant!
