Love this little thing - love all of the SLICE product line - something about those sharp razor knives and box cutters give me the heebie jeebies, so I love this and works well!

The issue is you have to press down to get the cover to be pushed in and expose the blade and cut so it has to be a sturdy item to press down on. You have to keep pressing down otherwise blade retracts. A flimsy plastic wrapped tray you can not press down on. Find myself using razor instead. Only used Slice for cutting taped box.

As an adult woman with smaller than average hands, this box cutter is a bit too big to hold securely during use. I quite like the product, and if you have normal or large sized hands, it should work great!

this cutter, although appears to be very useful, turns out to be more on the problematic end. one would need to accurately place the wheel within the cutting line of any item you wish to open. if you are not able to do that, it is deemed completely useless. i love all "slice" products, and i ordered this one only because they would not ship the cutter that i originally wanted, to my address. since i still needed a cutter, i ordered this one. unfortunately, this product did not do anything for me. i believed that they may have been so focused on making it safe that they lost the concept of it being easy to use. the wheel does not retract properly. this ends up causing the user to redundantly apply pressure in the same spot. eventually, you just give up and use the next best thing; a scissor or a knife...but then, what was the point of the "slice" utility?

I really love how safe this is for cutting packaging. It's easy to use and to store. I like that the blade can't cut you with the safety shield, but I've never had a ceramic blade cut through my skin yet. These work long and hard, and we put them through a lot of work!
