They support and protect your hands while to pound it out on a bag.

This was my initial review see below for update:I have a B.O.B. XL punching bag. I was excited to get these gloves since the normal boxing gloves make you sweat so bad on your hands. I really wanted these because they were lighter and they breath.Unfortunately, there is something wrong with the pads that cover your knuckles/fingers/top of hand. When you punch, the material is textured where its in contact with your fingers and top of hands. And when your glove makes contact with the bag, the glove moves up slightly in between your hands and the bag. As a result its like sand paper being rubbed on your knuckles. After about 20 hard punches your knuckles start getting rubbed raw.I am not sure who tested these over at Everlast, but whatever the prototype design was, they must of cut some corners or over looked something and never tested what they sent out the door.I like these gloves other then that, but that is a huge problem that makes these worthless. I like the style, quality, everything else seems to be pretty good. But if you can't punch the bag without them tearing up your knuckles what else is there to say?It's not like these say only meant for MMA matches, it says Heavy bag gloves.Update:It seems these gloves have to be broken in, and you have to get used to them on your knuckles. So just start slow, hit a few times with them if it hurts, give it a rest hit a few more times the next day. Basically after your first real long workout with these on a punching bag, they will break in and won't hurt you anymore.I really like these gloves, they are comfortable now, they breath better then normal boxing gloves, they give you speed and good protection from the impact on the bag, and you can jump rope without having to take them off. So overall exactly what I wanted.

These are comfortable to use, they feel good and not cheap like some others, able to get a snug fit would recommend

After taking some kickboxing classes through groupon( gloves included) and I decided to proceed I definitely knew I needed finger less gloves. Take 1 class and you'll know exactly what I mean. Keep in mind I take these classes for exercise not serious boxing- I'm not climbing in the ring anytime soon :).I like these a lot, they are easy to get on and off, the fit well and so far are holding up well. I just wish the inside was a bit more comfortable I sometimes feel the mesh rubbing against on the inside on my hands .All and all great product for the price.

I use these to hit my 150 lb. Heavy Bag. I like these better than any other glove since it has a thick pencil sized piece of material inside the palm to help stop your fists from closing in when hitting the bag. Other MMA gloves I have used do not have this. I hit about 5 -10 minutes a morning and these wear out about every 6-8 months. For the price, I LOVE THEM.
