Holy Dirk Benedict Batman!
Best figure in the collection with the possible exception of Lucifer.

A Classic!
This looks strongly like one of the original Battlestar Galactica toys from when I was a kid.and it's great. The detail is amazing, and it's a pretty accurate sculpt. You can tell that it's Starbuck. Makes me wish that I had gotten two, so I could leave one mint in the box, and have the other to play with.

A great tip of the hat to the show and Mego
In the Re-Mego revolution, I believe this line is probably one of the most faithful to the spirit and intent of that original Mego vibe. I can't find fault with anything on these figures. With Starbuck, the likeness is uncanny at this scale yet still has that Mego simplicity which offers the charm that has always made this format so enduring. The outfit is true to the series yet delivered as Mego might have done it back in the late 70's. This is a very thoughtful and well executed line from a license that, in m opinion, never got enough attention back in the day. Its so nice to see someone who loves this show making figures that so richly reflect that admiration and raw love of the show that made it a lasting favorite for so many of that generation and later.

Bif Bang Pow! BSG Lieutenant Starbuck
Ah, everyone's favorite cigar-chompin', Viper-flyin', Cylon-blastin', womanizin' spacefarer is available for the first (and currently only) time as an 8" Mego-style retro action figure, complete with cloth outfit! The coolest gun-toting space ace since Han Solo made his debut a year before in 1977; Starbuck is arguably the most cool and natural character in BSG; and his figure here is pretty cool, too.Fans of this kind of action figure know what to expect: real cloth clothing and plenty of articulation. Starbuck doesn't disappoint. For accessories, he features the same ones as his best buddy Captain Apollo, namely a Colonial Warrior blaster pistol and a cool, Egyptian-themed Viper pilot helmet (personally these helmets look a bit large to me, but that's just my opinion). As for the likeness to Dirk Benedict, it's not bad. Maybe the best human likeness in the short-lived toyline. So come on, BSG fans, pick up this nifty Starbuck figure while you still can for so cheap; what the frack are you waiting for!?
