It's rather forgiving to small mistakes (in contrary to, say, Gleam). It can be re-coated in 1 hour, doesn't need a sanding as long as the varnish doesn't set completely (then it might need sanding), is OK with low temperature and doesn't bubble excessively on hot surface. So a cockpit table can be completed in one day. I don't have much to say about protection yet (just 6 months after varnishing).

We wanted 1 gallon to complete our marine project. We clicked on this product, and the picture of the product clearly said it was 1 gallon. So I thought I was home and dry. I purchased my order, and what turned up was a pint size pot. Well, it says it is a pint size, but I think it's a Barbie sized pint. It was very small. I paid $26 for a very small pot. We contacted the company, and they said that we have to click a box for the size we want, so it was a mistake I made. I checked, and they were correct. However, I still feel completely ripped off. The page said it was $26, and the picture showed a 1 gallon pot. As a busy person, I didn't know I needed to check a "size box". I just went ahead and pressed order. So, now I am $26 out of pocket and have a pot of varnish that may cover a postage stamp. I think this is false advertising. Therefore I do not recommend this product or the company to anyone as a result. I am sure others have a lot more positive things to say, but for me, I am one unhappy camper on this issue. WARNING. Check the size pot you are buying. It's not the one in the picture. And the price will go up dramatically when you do. There are many other varnish companies out there, and I am sure I will have a better experience with them.

Very good varnish. There is a smell, but it’s okay to paint through a scarf + mask. Doesn't stink.
