Purchased this cable to connect our TV to my integrated amplifier and so far it works just as it should.

I looked at optical cables at Best Buy and and Walmart.com and was turned off by the prices for what you get. Seeing this on Amazon the description made the cables sound too good to be true. Believe it- it's true. Heavy duty sheathing and gold plated connectors (not for data transfer but so there's no corrosion in the receptacle) make these high quality cables at a fraction of the price of comparable ones from other sellers.

First off they sent me a cable with the guards in the bottom of the package and the rubberband not even on the cable and laying in the bottom of the bag. The cable was in a round spiral but has kinks spots in it. It truly looks to me like someone has used it and it was sent back as the plastic bag tie around the cable looks like it was put back on the cable like someone would put it back on a loaf of bread. In the picture it looks like quality metal connectors but they're not, they're cheap plastic. After hooking the cable up, I realize that I get better sound out of my thin short tiny cable. There may be something wrong with it but as is, I would not recommend purchasing this.

Longer than I expected and the quality is top notch. We move the sound bar constantly and the cable is still working flawlessly.

The best and most durable Optical cable I have ever purchased. Works perfectly. I liked it so well, I bought 3more for my TVs.
