I've snapped them to see them work and boiled them to reset them. They provide a good amount of heat and will fit easily in my pockets. My daughter used several of them down her back for relaxation. They easily lasted 20 minutes and were still warm.I love that they're reusable. I had some of the hand warmers that you expose to air. Those have a limited shelf life and most of them were useless by the time I wanted to use them. I think these snappy heat packs will provide more heat than those as well.

The good news is they are and work as advertised. The bad news is (1) they are too large to use in shoes or gloves (or better yet, mittens), which are perhaps some of the best uses for something like this, and (2) they do not retain the heat long enough to last through say, a football game. So you would need to bring a supply of them. Disposable heat packs are smaller an can last up to 10 hours. The better choice for me.

I haven't used these yet, (not cold enough yet) but this product has been around for a long time. I had some years ago, and liked/used them a lot. When we moved to a warmer climate they were lost. Now that I've returned to winter snow/cold I'm glad to have found my old friends. I don't approve of disposable products, so a hand rechargeable warmer is perfect. I keep a pair in each of my winter coats.

Works like magic! My boyfriend works outside and he said the heat lasted for a good hot 30 minutes and then another 30 minutes of warmth.

These were easy to use and lasted as well as other brands I have tried. I haven't found a down side to them.

I ended up returning these because the weather hasn't changed, but I have purchased similar before when I lived in Europe. These things are fantastic. When you are done just place them in boiling water and voila, you can use them again.

Quality product, no problems so far. Will update if problems arise. Useful heat is limited to <30 minutes though, so don't expect to replace your stock of 12 hour dry powder hand warmers with these.

They're a little small but otherwise great.
