Bought it for my grandson for his birthday, great item for kids.

After using this rod I found that it is surprisingly versatile! A perfect Kids travel fishing pole, but will also work well for any adult who is looking for a simply and easily stored travel rod! The pole extends to just over 5 feet or can be bought in a shorter height. Perfect(Travel Rod)for children or a person of shorter stature like myself.(5,6) The kit also comes with a small tackle kit including a small jerkbait, fishing bells, 2 colors of curly tail grubs a bobber and a few other small items! The reel comes with line already spooled and surprisingly held some weight as I managed to catch a decent pass with the rod! The only knock I have on this rod is the Reel feels rather cheap, but when compared to other "Kids Fishing Rods" this seems to be commonplace! I would personally recommend this as an awesome kids fishing pole

So i took my time to write this review as of this point ive had this little combo for a little over two months and i will admit taking my nieces and nephews out fishing with it has been a blast. We are more of a saltwater fisherman then freshwater. But it has served its purpose in both saltwater and freshwater as posted with the pictures above. My pros to this combo are ease of use the starter tackle it comes with isnt bad and works very well for a bunch of different freshwater fish and some saltwater fish. That being said my biggest gripe with this rod is just how flexible it is. some may see it as a plus some may see it as a negative. The flex doesnt really help when coming to hook sets using J hooks. But you can more then make up for it when using circle hooks where the hook set comes from reeling up and becoming tight with the fish on the other end. Over all i was very pleased and used it in both lure applications to dead bait and live bait applications and i honestly love it. it was amazing it was awesome to use and my little nieces and nephews loved using it anywhere from freshwater canals to the ocean. i would highly recommend this combo for anything starting or any young anglers it is very tough and sturdy and easy to get the gist of. 4.5 out 5 stars for me

I bought a generic Barbie spincast setup for my daughters sixth birthday and let her have it early to learn to cast and play around with it, in hopes of taking her to the stream to catch a few after her birthday. I was very unimpressed with the Barbie setup as I stupidly bought the model with no adjustable drag. That thing is seriously just a learning toy. Wanting to get her something with at least a adjustable drag, I went searching for something suitable. Stumbled on this and a few others like this, and decided this was the one I was gonna try out.For the money it’s pretty nice and solid and held up pretty well! It’s no loomis Stella combo, but what do you expect? Pole and reel feel solid and good quality. The tackle box, while mostly useless for where I fish was a nice compliment. The bag is awesome. The adjustable drag is a little jerky, but actually worked pretty damn well. Main thing is that it works. It definitely did. My daughter had a blast. I’m gonna let her fish it inshore this upcoming season. Lube it up with some corrosion X grease and oil and see if it can withstand a little salt. My bet is that it will. I’d definitely recommend this for children just learning how to fish.

Normally don’t leave reviews, but I am super impressed with the strength of this pole! I can feel whenever a fish taps the line… and my son can too! We also caught this monster catfish without the line or pole breaking! Props to this pole!!

The handle flew off into thick grass and we had to leave the fishing spot because my daughter couldn’t fish. Also the spool cover pops off all of the time. Going with a different well known brand.

This fishing rod is a hit with my 4 year old grandchild that already caught 2 fish ice fishing it is the perfect size easy to extend length of rod and is very durable and not flimsy material that will break.
