Ideal Magic Spectacular Magic Suitcase, Easy Way to Learn Magic Tricks with Props, Perfect for Beginner Magicians, Over 100 Tricks, For Ages 8 and up

I bought this for my 9 year old son. The box it comes in holds many tricks that has kept him busy for weeks. I was worried about the longetivitey of the box it comes in especially since hes a little rough on his possesions however it is still holding on quite well for the amount of use it gets. I think there are 100 tricks that can be learned. It comes with props, a booklet, dvd, magic wand and a wonderful magic hat. The hat by itself would justify the price of the magic set. One recommendation I would make is buying a scarf or bandana to suplement the set as a few tricks require using one.So yes, my son absolutely loves this set and I love it because it has gotten him away from electronics and video games. I also appreciate that it comes with an easy to follow video that shows how to perform the tricks. Just be prepared to be bombarded with endless magic shows, lol, or have on hand many different people who can also stand in as the audiance.

My 10 year old son has learning delays, dyslexia hinders his reading ability and memory but he has loved magic ever since seeing a magician show. He got this kit for Christmas after I read the great reviews and I am beyond thrilled. He has shown us more than half a dozen tricks that he learned watching the DVD by himself (we are not allowed to watch the DVD). He has so many more to learn and is planning on "performing" at his sisters birthday party in May. This will keep him busy for a long time to come. The suitcase is a cardboard box. I purchased another smaller box for him to organize the small pieces. This kit comes with a magic top hat that has a secret compartment, no need to purchase that separately. It also comes with a magic wand. We did get the Children's Black Magician Cape and love it. I am pleased with the quality of this set for the price. The sound and video quality of the DVD is amazing, what little I have seen of it anyway. The fact that my son has been able to master these tricks so quickly shows that it is clearly explained and easy to use. Have fun watching your little one delight you with their new magic skills.

My 8-year old has been into magic since finishing all the Harry Potter books at age 6. When he realized there are magic kits out there that give you the tools and magical items to actually "do" magic, he was hooked. This kit was the second magic kit we bought for him; the first one was for his birthday, but he wanted this one so bad he spent his own allowance money on it instead of waiting for Christmas. He's been using it non-stop since it arrived and while Dad does have to often help him read through the instructions on how to do some of the more difficult tricks, he has figured out how to do the easy tricks by himself. He is SO into it that we can expect to see no less than a new trick from him every 2-3 days. He's gotten so into it that Mom found a local Magic Camp for him to go to over summer break and he cannot wait to go. It is so fun to watch him get into this and learn the tricks, and then perform them for us. Just yesterday, he came home from school, went to his closet and got out a nice wool coat, put it on along with his Magic Hat (comes in the kit), and did a new card trick for us. I see him using this and having fun with it for years to come. Really engaging product for kids, and even fun for grown-ups too!

This kit was a little bit advanced for my five year old son. But with parental help it was quite enjoyable for him. The parts are not extremely high quality but durable enough for my son. There are a lot of magic tricks and fun to be had.On the INSIDE of Amazon's packaging was a black box full of the magic kit. The black box is the magic table. The black magic table box was severely bashed in. I did not plan for the unexpected and therefore did not have time to return this item and wait for a new one before my son's birthday. I am certain Amazon would have complied pleasantly with a return. But just in case you don't have time to receive broken items I suggest you order well in advance of gift giving.

I gave this gift to a 5 year old boy and he loved it. Before I gave it to him I opened it and did the tricks for numerous adults and they were totally amazed. Some of these tricks are incredible. The age range for this is about 5 to full grown adults. The tricks are so good that they amaze everyone. And for the price you get so many good tricks and a DVD that it is a real bargin, compared to buying tricks individually. Watch out if you have little kids in the house. There are some little plastic pieces which the little kids may pick up and put in their mouth if you are not watching. If you are giving this gift to kids 5 to 10 you should probably open it and learn the tricks yourself so you can demonstrate them for the kids first. The DVD is very good ,but little kids probably need some help.;

This is a fun kit.I got it for my 6 year old cousin (for her 6th birthday).She can’t read yet, but we’ve been teaching her the tricks.Some of the tricks are easy for her, some she will have to grow into (which is fine).It does not come with any silk/satin hanky’s , so i cut a few squares from a sateen fabric that i had, which worked out fine.The thumb for the “thumb trick” is an adult sized thumb , So the illusion doesn’t work well when a child does it, BUT it’s good for them to learn.She gets a kick out of the “magic hat” , and has a lot of fun with this kit.

This was the absolute BEST purchase for Christmas. I bought my 9 year old girl a ton of things, but this was by far the best. I really got some mommy cool points. The family however wanted to choke me, because she held us captive to watch her tricks. Initially she tried them without the video and it bombed. Then she discovered the accompanying video and struck gold! It showed her exactly what to do and the tricks were pretty impressive. The packaging was good but I bought the cape- hat and vest set that is advertised with this set from another company. The only problem I had was endurance of the case during consistent movement. She wanted to take this set EVERYWHERE, but the container would not withstand that much movement and usage. Now we are still looking for a mini traveling suitcase to house the set. Then we can go to ALL the relatives house and make them "suffer" like we have since Christmas. Wonderful and perfect gift.

This is a pretty big kit with lots of tricks for a kid to practice. The quality is pretty good as most of the props are of reasonably solid plastic. The instructions are pretty basic but clear, however most of the instructions will be from the kit's YouTube page that shows you exactly how to perform the tricks. Kid is having a great time with it.

Bought this kit for my 10 year old son. I had to watch the video with him to help him with the tricks. Right off the bat I was very impressed with the presentation and instruction. When we got into the kit I found all the material to be of very good quality. The tricks were very mature and extremely interesting. The instruction was very detailed as how to present the trick and it wasn't long before my son was impressing the whole family. The tricks were technical enough to surprise everyone. I was very impressed!
