Jason Lives with wonderful accuracy from Sideshow
This figure is a perfect example of how it's never too late to discover the quality a product line long after it's original shelf date. While Sideshow has put out a number of diverse and fascinating entries in the Friday the 13th line, I have to say for my money this Jason installment is an excellent entry, even by today's standards. The outfit is impeccable. Very well tailored, proper colors, and excellent details prominent in the movie right down to a paint gun shot. The accessory belt is stitched to his shirt which helps keep it sitting at an appropriate position. It does unbuckle so you can remove the shirt or slide the knife sheath on the front. He does not come with a machete sheath but I am fine with that, since any pose with the figure is likely going to find him with the machete in hand. It's an easy custom if I want to add that. The belt also includes the accessory pack which comes with three individual darts included in this set.The hands are well sculpted to look exactly like the gloves he wore in the film and the paint apps give them a nice, weathered look. The same can be said for the shoes. The machete is well designed and looks ominous with it's "blood" covered paint apps. I mentioned the shirt earlier but failed to add the bullet entries are actual weathered holes on the material with a discolored blood like stain. I realize some suggest this is not screen accurate since he was a corpse by this stage and not likely to bleed anything human-like. But from the standpoint of a figure, I thought it made for a good effect that drives home the idea along with a little added color for design purposes. It works!Another feature on the clothes is that Sideshow added a furry vest underneath which gives this figure the added bulk that registers as actual body volume as opposed to stuffing. It looks really good and sells the overall screen accuracy of the figure. I know some installments lack this which gives it too much of a GI JOE dressed appearance. The volume must be there to really capture the imposing scale of Jason and this one has it in spades. Now let's get to the head and mask...The mask, for my money, is wonderfully sculpted with nice paint apps to give it the weather look in this film. Comes with the appropriate markings and crack in the upper corner. I like the size of the eye holes and the width looks really good to me. Fits him nicely with beige elastic bands. Now I know there are some very talented customizers out there that can make a perfect, screen accurate mask for those looking for more finite details. But for me, I am very pleased with what Sideshow did and this one works very well for the overall look. There is no question I am looking at the Jason Lives slasher. The head itself is a neat sculpt that really captures that grimy look from the film. Now while there have been some really neat customized head sculpts that seem to capture a closer likeness, this one takes care of what I need here, since I have no plans to display him without the mask. Not that he wouldn't look good without the mask, but when I think of Jason, the mask is the iconic part that must surely be there to complete the appearance. It should be noted the artist had a fun time sculpting this head because you can see a tiny leaf in his left eye. It has loads of details for the fans. All done in the right spirit. The figure also comes with the standard base with the iconic 'Jason Lives' logo printed for display. A perfect figure by every measure that means anything for me. I worthwhile addition to any collection from past or present figures. Jason fits in perfect and looks as good today as what he did when he was released. Make sure to add one to your collection.

Keep 'em coming!
I now have 8 of these babies. And still I'm lacking a couple (the Part 2 Jason and Uber-Jason). Some haven't even been made. How about a Part 4 Jason and a Part 5 Roy (disguised as Jason) and a Part 8 Jason? This one from Part 6 is the first time in which Jason appeared as a zombie. At the beginning of the film his grave is dug up and a bolt of lightening brings him back to life. With even more power and strength than he had as a human the zombie Jason was even more terrifying. He immediately equipped himself with a bunch of killing tools (all included with this figure) and set off on another murder spree. What's even more special about this figure is the ability to remove the mask. Jason's decomposed face was hidden in darkness and shadows in Part 6 but now you can get a good look at the rotten visage under the mask.A figure for all Jason nuts (like me) and anyone who loves iconic horror villains.

Go home Mc Farlane, there's a new Jason figure in town
This figure is great. The similarites from the movie, especially his unmasked face is very detailed and well done. If you're a huge fan of this notorious slasher franchise, then you should deffently put this little fellow in your collection. There are some negative things though, his pockets are a bit bigger than in the movie, axe mark is diffrent and he has blood stains on the puncture wounds, though he never bled when he was shot or stabbed. But why nitpick such a fine collectible? If you buy it now you will hopefully be as pleased as I was. Also includes base with movie title.
