Seashell Nautical Double Switch Plate Cover

This item is handmade, and I only wish the maker had taken more of an interest to make sure this product would actually fit on a double wall switch properly. First of all, the screws that hold the switches in place hit the plate on the back and keep it from sitting back far enough on the box. That part had to be ground out. Next, the stuff in the middle is so thick that you are NOT able to very easily flip the switch on, you have to dig for it. I retrofitted my switches and got them to stick out a little further, ground out the back of the plate cover a little and got it a little better, but it's still not good. I will look to see if they sell switches with longer pulls on them, but I doubt I will find it.

I thought this was absolutely beautiful and a very nice product; however, the thickness of the plate itself makes the light switch lever unreachable. Instead of poking through and easily switched on and off, they actually are at the surface level of the switch plate, making it unusable. There is no fix for this that I can see, unless they make longer light switch levers. Such a shame - nice product!

Works nicely for a bath with a sea shell theme, previous buyers have complained about no screws included but mine came with flat head screws that were hand painted over them. I would highly recommend you go to your local Home Depot or Lowes to buy beige or almond cover plates & use the screws that are included in them as a replacement...it finishes off better.

beautiful design .. would be awesome in my living room... but unfortunately it can't be installed as it is almost an inch thick and switches won't fit thru holes

This lights switch plate doesn't cover my electric switch spot. I can't use it at all. It is made way too small. It doesn't even match up with the screw holes.

Its nice but very thick so the light switches get sunk in and its hard to switch the lights. Also the plastic boxbis visible on most switches i tried it thus make it impssible to use as it does jot cover well.... i would return it if the shipping wasnt so expensive

I was really looking forward to receiving this product. It is beautiful but when I tried to install it I found out that it is too thick for the switch to stick out far enough to use. I kept it and am trying to figure out how to adapt it for use. It sure is a disappointment.

The light switches do not stick out far enough. Makes it very difficult to turn lights on. Very pretty and exactly what I wanted, but makes turning light on and off difficult.
