Street Dogs are ready to unleash their self-titled fifth album, the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2008 Hellcat debut State of Grace. After incessant tours around the world alongside bands like The Offspring, Alkaline Trio, and Anti-Flag, and headlining tours in US and UK in support of State of Grace, Street Dogs were inspired by the ferocity of their audiences to make a rabble-rousing, in-your- Punk Rock Record

great song, and these dudes actually know how to ...
I first heard this band on a compilation cd, they played the song called " don't preach to me " I was very impressed. .great song , and these dudes actually know how to play their instruments. .so I bought ( ALL) of their cd'sWell....so far in my opinion they have yet to top that song..the Street Dogs do have a lot of good songs , however I view them as more of an alternative band with a little punk in them.

Best Album of all time
So here's the deal, you can sample it, you hear, its no secret. But, here's what you didn't know, you're listening to one of the best punk rock groups of all time. Although I've been a fan of street dogs for awhile, I hadn't considered them in the top 5 punk groups. After this album came out, shit changed, and I mean changed. This is probably the best punk album since full circle. Yeah I know so much good punk, but this from the start is just excellent. I mean common, Harpo (my life story) and shape of other men, to punk rock and Portland. I can honestly say nothing bad about this album. It's truly old school punk rock about the working class, and that's drunken fast paced good music. I dare you to listen to it and not have a smile on your face.

Great Band!!!! If you have the chance to see them live, do it!
The Street Dogs are one of the rare bands today who write and sing about the things that matter! Everytime they come to my area I see them in concert! They are always willing to talk with fans and have a few laughs! Great Guys and Great musicians!

We All Need a Little Punk Rock and Roll!!
The Street Dogs self-titled album is their fifth album to date and was recorded at The Blasting Room in Ft. Collins, CO. I am very pleased with this one - it comes in even better than I thought it would be and it delivers all the usual rowdy, rabble-rousing punk messages the previous four did in grand style. This album really reminds me of when I first listened to "London Calling" by The Clash when it first came out in 1980. London Calling of course was far more ground-breaking than this CD so that comparison might be a little unfair, but while my friends in 1980 were listening to all the top 40 music of the day, I felt like I was listening to music that really mattered by "The only band that matters." That is where I find these albums as similar because while the masses continue to lop up a lot of the mainstream music garbage that is spewed out today, I felt like I was listening to something extraordinary as well as a lot of fun when I put this CD in for the first time. Maybe someday more people will catch on to this band just as they did The Clash year later. If they do they are in for a treat and maybe the music will give them something to think about at the same time. This album comes in with 18 songs that tackle a number of socially relevant topics including Bernie Madoff (Hang 'em High) corporate greed (Up the Union) and the lousy economy (Portland) as well as a nice tribute to Mike's family (Oh Father) and a new version of one of their very best songs, "Fighter" from their first album.Again, the songs are in your face yet catchy at the same time but I especially liked the mid-tempo songs like "Yesterday" and "Bobby Powers." The song that grabs your attention right away though is "Punk Rock and Roll" a nice tribute to the punk genre and a reminder that punk just might not be dead after all, even though several artists these days have tried to sell it out for profit and gotten away from the true spirit of standing up for what you believe in even when the masses think otherwise.Even though there are 18 songs here, the album comes in at 41 minutes which is pretty typical for this genre of music. However, this album really throws a lot at you and covers a lot of ground in those 41 minutes. The music comes in, grabs your attention, makes a point, and then moves on to the next song. You won't find too many long interludes or long solos on a Street Dogs album and that works out just fine for all their fans who continue to be treated to some very good music every album they put out. This album stands right there with the best music the Dogs have recorded and I think fans will enjoy it quite a bit. I simply have to give this one a 5 star rating and I am sure I will be wearing out the CD both at home and in the car! Good job by Mike and the boys!!!One final note - fans who want to hear even a bit more can pick up a CD digital download which includes three bonus songs on a special promotion that online stores are running so be watching out for that. The three bonus songs, "Ballad of Detroit" "Greed" and "Pedestal" are actually very good and are simply too good not to be on this album. I especially thought "Pedestal" should have been on the main release and is one of their better songs.

Another Classic for ya!
Wow, can these guys ever put out anything less than excellent? I don't think there is even a song in their catalog that I don't like. This is the best album I have bought (and probably will buy) this year. From beginning to end this record kicks. It is more old school punk than their last couple of records which is fine by me. Punk Rock and Roll is the standout track for me and a great anthem for the summer, spring and fall!

Purer Punk
Mir persönlich gefallen die vorherigen Alben der "Street Dogs" besser. Es ist nicht so, dass mir das Album nicht gefallen würde. Hier fehlen mir aber etwas die melodischen Töne. Aber das ist halt reine Geschmacksache.

Street Dogs - Street Dogs (2010)
