Bestop Pavement Ends by 51148-35 Black Diamond Replay Replacement Soft Top Tinted Windows; No door skins included for 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler

After reading reviews for this top, and other less expensive tops, I went with a Bestop for my 2004 Jeep Wrangler. Product arrived neatly packaged, with very specific instructions (that were correct!). I'm 71 years old, and foolishly decided to install by myself. I did succeed, but it took me longer than the 45 minutes other people have quoted. Biggest problem is that you really need to be strong, because the top is designed to be stretched over the framing of the top, and that required a lot of strength. But I was able to install, and the tightness pays off in the top not flapping and making noises. I've had no leaks after two weeks, and it's been like a monsoon in southern Florida the last few days. Several reviews have mentioned that the rear window needs to be a little bigger, but I believe it has to be tight to assure no flapping. My only concern is that I like to take the top off when there's a string of predicted good weather here. I don't know if I have the strength to put the top on again, and am hoping that having been stretched some after installation, it will be a little easier the second (and third) time I have to reinstall. But I am very happy with this product.

Literally the best fitting soft top for a 1999 Jeep TjPros: perfect fit, no window wrinkles on sides and back.Cons: the zippers seem a little cheaper than OEM. I installed some zipper lanyards to facilitate the zipping.

Great fit and value for money, only took one week to get to Tasmania Australia from the USA!

Seems like a decent product. Similar quality to the one I replaced (not sure of make) installed easily enough. 4 stars due to couple of issues:- fits tight on the driver side but appears looser on the passenger.- side window zippers: on passenger side the zipper pull is on the main top and the window zipper tail slips into the zipper body. The drivers side is opposite. This is annoying due to the folds and how snug it is. Hard to get the zipper tail to slide into the zipper body.- rear window straps: there are two straps on the rear bar that allow you to roll the rear window up and keep it out of the way but the elastic strap is short and the snap is hard to do up. The arrangement is not as convenient as my old top.Overall it’s fine and appears good value for the money. Haven’t tested its waterproofness or driven on the highway. I will update if there are any issues.

I’m new to jeeps and haven’t had a soft top before. I watched a couple of videos to see how it was done and was able to easily put this top on with no issues and it was probably around 65 degrees out. I only needed assistance to have someone pull down on the back while I put the bottom flaps into the channels. Love this top! The zippers are very nice quality, the windows are very translucent even with the tint.
