Gave this as a gift
He seemed to be excited to look through this book. Made a great addition to Christmas presents. Also had local places in there which was great. Pictures are beautiful inside. This book is organized by state. I appreciate that about it

Great reference for a traveler or someone wanting to know what’s in their state.
A couple of weeks before my wife and I began a 3 month RV trip to follow the Lewis and Clark Trail, a friend referred us to Monuments, Marvels and Miracles book. We are one month into the trip and we have already visited 13 sites, in 9 states! We just arrived in Montana and plan to visit 5 more. Overall, we expect to visit 51 sites in 19 states.Although we are staying true to the Lewis and Clark trail, this insightful book has also turned our trip into a Catholic pilgrimage. It is adding such a wonderful dimension to the trip and our lives, as it opens our eyes to the unknown and previously unappreciated. We have been deeply moved or inspired by all the locations we have visited so far.In addition to the site descriptions, we are thankful for the website links that provide additional details, virtual tours or pictures. Monuments, Marvels and Miracles is a gem of a resource.

Comprehensive Guide to Religious Sites for all States
My wife and I do a lot of travelling in the US and it was beneficial to find significant churches or monuments wherever we visit. These were some of the sites we have travelled to in the past and it was interesting to learn some new information that we did not know during our initial visit. Likewise, the guide will help us for our future adventures. I particularly like the state maps with identification icons for each church or monument mentioned. Also it is helpful to have contact information readily available, saving a search on the internet. I thoroughly recommend the guide in that even though we may not be able to visit a particular site, the religious significance makes for great reading and enrichment in our faith.

Marvelous book to guide your journey!
This book is so much fun to read and learn about the catholic monuments and chapels in America. I live near 3 of them and have one left to visit. The book is nicely laid out by state, with a map marking where the chapels are located. Beautiful photos are included for many of the locations along with addresses, phone numbers and web sites. If you like to travel, like architecture, history, art, stories of faith and miracles I highly recommend buying this book to guide your journey. Happy reading and exploring !!!!

Well laid out and lots of neat information
I like this! Yes, I was aware of a few of the things to see in my own state, but not all of them! We have a few road trips planned this year, and I'll definitely be consulting this book. The lists aren't comprehensive, but there are many great and unusual ideas for Catholic families to check out. Also, I really like how the book is arranged--everything is well-organized and the corresponding maps are helpful (so many travel idea books forget to include the map)! I highly recommend.

A perfect travel guide for the devoted Catholic family
We bought this book because we do a lot of traveling. And now, with all the “restrictions” we’re doing much ch more domestic travel. As a Catholic family, we like to make every trip dual purpose: a trip to our intended destination and recreation, as well as, a pilgrimage to US Catholic shrines, cathedrals, Catholic historical sites. This book is the ultimate guide for those families — steeped in tradition — who want the Faith to direct every purpose in life. Highly recommended!

This is fun to read even if you're not going on a trip!
If you're a super devout Catholic and you love checking out Catholic settings on your vacations, this is the book for you. I had fun reading about places that I already know and have visited as well as making a list of all the other places I want to hit on my future travels. It's fun to read even if you're not going on a trip.

Helpful book so we don't miss Catholic attractions when traveling
I like how the book is divided by geography and the descriptions of places. It doesn't have all the shrines (could any book). For example it doesn't have the Infant of Prague Shrine in Oklahoma. We are going to keep it in our car; so, when we are traveling we can check it for a stop. Not lots of pictures and that is okay.
