these two packs are more expensive than what was sold before as a single pack, more than twice as expensive. But the filters are wonderful. The filters slow the brewing process down for light roasted coffee using a base 60. Highly recommend.

This paper retains to much..The brewing takes more than 4 minutes.. bitter coffee…

These things are just awful. Drain time is at least 3-4 times what it is when using other filters. I saw a review by one person who tried to blame the issue on the use of inferior grinders and cited the Fellow Ode as high quality one to use instead. I'm using a Fellow Ode and they still drain really, really slowly.

I ordered these in 2020 and thought they worked great--my light roast brews flowed through a bit faster than the V60 40-count bleached untabbed filters I had been using. Ordered these again in May 2021 and got a completely different product. Now brews are at least twice as slow, and the resulting cups of coffee are muddled and boring.

I normally drink Nordic/Ultra light coffees and these do the trick, although you can also use them for other roast levels and they are just fine. I get consistant delicuious brews every single time and it is very easy with these. I usually follow La Cabra's 4-pour recipe using a V60 and my drawdown times will vary depending on the varietal and roast level; sometimes an extremely light roast will take up to 8 minutes, but they come out delicuious. There seems to be a focus that faster = better. However, faster is also more inconsistant and more prone to underextraction. It's actually very difficult to OVER-extract pourovers unless your grind is too fine (too much surface area). It's VERY easy to UNDER-extract below that grind threshold.
