Q: Does the bag have pockets in the back and inside?

Not inside, just around the outside

Q: Could you use fabric paint to put grandbabies handprints on this?

Yes! As long as the paint isn’t water based where it my rinse off if the bag gets wet.. I think that a really creative idea, btw! Also, the set is cuter in real life & feedback from the 2 ladies I gifted these to thought they were great gardening sets & really loved everything included
