Rugged and dependable
Once I was promoted and assigned to S3 NCO (Operations and Training NCO for the pogues) I searched for a proper laptop case. It had to accomodate my Dell XPS laptop, training materials, handouts, software, external mouse and other accessories. First, there is a padded sleeve with a carrying handle for your laptop and fits inside the appointed slot of the bag. For extra protection, there is a hardened bottom. There is ample room for materials and it is expandable with the side straps that allowed me to carry two one inch thick Field Manuals and twenty 118 page OPORDERS for handouts. In addition, I hade CDs and other materials in the attache portion of the bag. Depending on the dimensions of your laptop, you can also fit a one inch binder in the laptop section of the bag. The three removable molle pouches are useful for additional cabling and my external mouse and 10 key keyboard. I also used one pouch for a two meter radio and extra batteries. The carrying handle is rugged, but I used the shoulder strap most of the time. We are regularly deployed in the field and there is always other gear to carry which makes the shoulder strap very useful. There is a velcro strip that allows you to place a name tape on the front of the upper flap. Inside the attache portion, there are dividers for business cards, writing supplies, and additional pockets. The only drawback that I found was that the upper flap hold down straps fasten right behind and between the removable pouches. The pouches get in the way of fastening these straps.Unfortunately, I have since purchased an Alienware M17r2 laptop and it is too big for this particular bag. I purchased the Alienware bag for the laptop and it is just big enough for the laptop. It was leather and more expensive, but does not protect the laptop as well as the Code Alpha bag listed here. If it would have fit, I would have used the Code Alpha bag instead of the recommended Alienware one.If you have to transport a laptop and multiple books or large amounts of paperwork, then I would suggest getting what is known as the "large mechanics bag" which you can get in ACU pattern and I used it prior to getting this one. It will protect your laptop and has additional side pockets for extra gear (very roomy). I use all three when we have to set up a TOC in the field.

Great bag.
Great bag, especially at this price. I love bags. Can't have too many. I work out of my vehicle and purchased this for all my "front seat stuff" such as notebooks, paper, pens flashlights etc. It has three spacious large compartments, and three smaller ones on the outside. There is also a removable padded laptop bag. The carry handle is rounded plastic of some sort and sturdy with a removable shoulder strap. The side straps allow you to cinch in thinner if you wish.

Sturdy awesome laptop bag.
This bag is spectacularly built. It fits my 17” Alienware without issue. The straps are solidly attached and I don’t see them breaking like my previous laptop bags. The front pockets hold plenty but if you need more space they can always be replaced. The customization options are awesome.

At first I was worried but the Military Luggage Company came through!!
**At first I was worried, they sent this messenger bag without the nametape velcro. After talking to their customer support in a very brief and timeley manner, they quickly rectified the situation and sent me another bag with the nametape velcro. Could not be happier with Military Luggage, they are the best supplier for this computer bag. **As for the quality of the bag, there is a reason I have the ACU version as well. These bags last and can go through hell while keeping stuff safe. Not pelican case type safe but the added padding inside absolutely helps. I normally take the three front puches off which gives it a smaller profile.Just a small tip for Active Duty, treat this as a brief case and don't walk around with it slung on you.

Code Alpha "Tactical" Laptop Bag Review
So far so good.I get a million people telling me it looks like a tactical bag, even without the outside pockets attached.Good quality, used 5 days per week. Light rain several times now...no sign of any liquid inside.I actually spilled water inside one of the smaller pockets from a loose bottle of spring water. It held the water (obviously soaking everything else in the pocket) without a single sign of dampness on the outside of the bag or my car seat. Impressive bag for the price and I would recommend to anyone looking for something a little more rugged. This will definitely never be confused as a purse.Fair warning, it seems large with or without the extra protective laptop sleeve. The sleeve holds my computer that is 15.6", with additional number pad built in. I wanted a larger bag, and this was perfect.

Lot's of room. Not true MOLLE spacing on webbing
Webbing not true Molle spacing, still works with Molle pouches. Does have lots of room. Does a job for the price (digital camo three times less price than solid color)

Heavy duty and looks really cool in a business setting as I am an Army Infantry Veteran. I get compliments on it all the time.

Great bag, lots of storage space and actually does ...
Great bag, lots of storage space and actually does feel/seem like it's made to military specs, unlike the cheap and paper thin crap you can get off eBay from mainland China. The numerous compartments in it are nice and the laptop is very well protected. The 3 "grenade" pouches in the front are MOLLE-type and can be removed to make the bag more compact. Carrying strap is adjustable/removable too.

Built to last!
Bought the coyote tan version, this is an excellent bag as part of my EDC, holds my laptop, tactical notebook, pens markers 12" rulers and other drafting supplies. Super strong build, can withstand my abusive work environment (industrial maintenance). Comes with optional protective pouch for valuable items in the back zipper compartment. Easily holds 3 full size coil bound scribblers as well as Vault clipboard box. The molle webbing is great for attaching extra tactical accessories, able to hold my ipod, digital camera, 2 4,000 mAh battery packs, bose speaker, gaming mouse, along with an exuberant amount of cords and chargers. I don't go anywhere without mine.
