i have the original white heart peeler for about 25 years is this of same quality ?

Mine was about 20 years old and broke and I find this one to be the same quality as the older ones...I am very pleased with this purchase.

Yes, it does. I bought it for my wife who had an old one, very old, that broke. I believe it was her mother's. I bought this new one for her that worked just as well as the old one.
