These are not good quality, but an unavoidable purchase sooner-or-later if your RV came with Schwintek slide-outs. Keep an extra on-hand. I think Lippert Components has some real quality-control issues across all their product lines. On our last trip with our two-year-old fifth wheel, we had to replace one Lippert axle (two weeks whistling Dixie in 100 degree heat in Pecos, TX waiting for the replacement to arrive), a failed Lippert Schwintek slide-out motor (this one... a planned one-night stay in Santa Fe became a four-night affair... would've been longer without Amazon's Prime delivery), and all the while listening to the Lippert hydraulic jacks pop day and night as they do whatever it is they do. As for this motor and its replacement... it's not too tough a job if your slide grinds to a halt midway between fully open and closed. There are instructions available online, and a couple You-Tube videos will walk you through the job. If the motor fails with the slide all the way out or in, you're going to have to disconnect the power to the failed motor on the slide, and find some willing souls (several, in all likelihood) to push the failed-motor-side in or out while you engage the still-working motor - so that you can gain access to both sides of the failed motor (inside and out).

One of the motors on my 2014 Thor ACE 30.1 front slide was going out. Looked at several of these motors online. I ended up going with this one. Price was about 55% off at the time. The rod that comes out of the bottom needs to be lined up exactly like the one that you are replacing. Grab a pair of grips and gently turn it until you get it lined up like the original so that it will go in. Installing it took about 15 minutes and that was including the trial and error of rotating and lining up the rod. I almost consider buying a second while the price is half off in case I need a spare.

We ordered this part when the slide on our class c jayco bedroom slide was only extending on 1 side in the bedroom slide, instead of going to the dealer or a mobile tech we fixed it ourselves and saved a lot of money. The part was very easy to install though awkward since it’s located at the top back of the interior.

While there are knockoffs available, it was nice seeing the exact LCI component available and not at an outrageous price. Installation was straightforward, and the slide is working again.

The new model has some heat shrink over the top portion in order to prevent the cheap soldered connection from breaking off which is what happened to mine. The idea is really good and holds the wires but it makes inserting and removing the motor really harder than before.Product was exactly as described and fit where it needed to. Cost was better than the $400 the RV place wanted for one. Fast shipping made it great as well cause RV dealer had a 1 week or more delivery
