BMG Mods “1590g Tall” CNC Milled Anodized Aluminum 18650 Battery Enclosure: Olive Green (Satin Finish)

I puchased this box , for my first simple Machanical box build. The wall thickness is thicker than the second one I just purchased , a 1590b with slinding lid. even though I have no issues with it either. But this box is pretty and well finished. Make sure to rap the box in masking tape when doing your build to protect the finish. I built mine with a simple build. (battery sled / mosfet and ristor/ FDV low 510 connecter/ and 12mm switch). make sure not to purchase a 16mm, I dont think you will fit it into the box. this thing works great battery life for some reason is crazy long. I guess because less voltage drop. I vape on it all day with my TFV8 x4 coil, .17ohm and I was thinking because I had no meter. The battery must be low, even though i didnt notice any difference in performance. I check the batteries the next morning, and they were @ 3.85 volts. And these were some junk one year old ecogear batteries. I wish BMG had 1590b boxs,I would purchase one of them and build a triple parallel.

This is a big upgrade from the typical Hammond box. The machining is top notch, rounded edges all over and smooth anodized finish. Like another reviewer said, the price is surprisingly low for this quality. The color is uniform and looks awesome, not streaky looking like some of the other brands I've had. The box feels like quality in my hand. I wasn't sure how well the lid would stay on with the provided magnets, turned out to not new an issue as the magnets are really strong and easy to affix in place.... the lid aligns perfectly! Probably one reason it feels so nice to grip. A double 18650 sled fit good with a fair amount of room for the switch. Aside from the great looks and quality fit/finish, I really appreciate the fact the box stands perfectly upright. Great purchase! Now I wish I had opted for an engraving.

These cases have the same height and width as a 1590g, but are several millimeters deeper, which gives room to put a larger lipo in them, if you build that way, or just more room to build, no matter what you put inside. The 510 is pre cut and has a slight recess for a flush mount 510. Magnets are included with each case AND these guys do laser engraving. (Laser engraving is free for the month of August 2016) Markus, from BMG, reached out to me and asked if I needed anything and together he and I tweaked a few images for engraving on my cases. They look amazing and Markus showcased my cases on their FB page. These guys are completely able and willing to help and that is what will keep me buying their products.

no reason not to give this 5 stars it came fast, professional packaging and no scratches. the paint on the one I got is absolutely amazing. the only thing is that the magnets that are included are kind of small I question how well they will hold the door on, ill update when I get the epoxy to set them in. 10?10 would reccomend this to a friend, UPDATE the magnets are plenty strong enough!!!!

Nice quality!! It should say extra deep not tall.

the pre meachined 510 area fits perfectly with any FDV 510 connector.

If you're looking to build your own mod spend a few more dollars and grab one of these CNC'd boxes by BMG Mods. The quality is bar none, no "hammond lean" just a smooth and beautiful case. One word of advice, be sure that you put in the magnets the right way before applying epoxy otherwise you might end up in a situation where your box doesn't adhere to itself properly due to opposing magnetic fields.The seller is awesome also, highly responsive and willing to perform customizations on request.
