Works like a charm!
Tried it today for the first time. Pizza came out great. Very surprised with the outcome. Pizza was thoroughly cooked and delicious. Heat is very high and you must oversee the cooking process continuously - about 3 to 5 minutes. If you like bbq pizza, it’s a must buy!

Easy to adjust width for stone and grill sizes. Perfect pizza on first try!
I've been trying to replicate a pizza oven at home for years. Finally, I've nailed it with this grill topper. I'm glad I resisted buying one of those pricey pizza ovens. This works amazingly well and makes my grill a multi-tasker for far less money. My photos are of the very first pizza I cooked using this grill topper--success on my first try. I have a large rectangular pizza stone (22x13) and it was easy to adjust the pizza topper to fit over it. I preheated the grill on high (with the grill lid open as per their instructions). It took 30 min to reach 500 degrees F. I used a pizza peel to place the pizza on the stone and rotated it twice while it cooked. It was perfectly cooked in 7 min--browned on top and bottom. Best pizza I've ever made at home.

Wing nuts?
The wing nuts stick out way to far, could only get lid down half way. So, I turned them the other way, better but lid still not down as far as I wanted. Went to my trusty TRUE VALUE and got SLIGHTLY SHORTER screw, FLATTER nuts, then just used a little wrench to put them on...problem solved, lid closes to 1 inch...perfect. That's why it got 4 stars. Even with the original problem, it works sooo well. For the amount of times we make pizza it wasn't worth the $400 for a pizza oven. This is fantastic! PS I don't use a pizza stone...too heavy. I use a nonstick pizza pan with holes in it, makes a really crisp pizza.

Perfect!
I put this on my 4 burner nexgrill, centered the stone and took the outside heat sheilds off. Lorenzetti pizza stone came up to just under 600 degrees. First time came out great! Didnt even have to spin it as it cooked even all around. Cant beat this! Also higher quality than i expected as the steel is thick and sturdy. Will outlast several grills no doubt. I will put a smoker box with a few wood chips next time.

This is NOT Stainless Steel in my opinion!
This Grill top is very heavy and should do what I want BUT, its advertised as Stainless Steel hmmmmm the magnet sticks right to it like cold rolled steel. So Im sure it will eventually rust. But all and all it fits a couple different grills I have because its adjustable.

I don't need an outdoor pizza oven from Italy anymore!
I've spent summers in Italy since I was a child, eating brick oven pizza at family gatherings every weekend. My family has also owned a pizza shop in the states for 40+ years. So, needless to say, I know pizza. After many attempts with different methods, I was close to ordering an oven from Italy, until we tried this. This is as close as we have gotten from the real thing. We were able to place 2- 13" pizza stones, side by side. We pre-heated the BBQ with the lid closed for 45 minutes before our first pizza. We used a laser thermometer to measure the pizza stone, best temperature 550-625F. I also placed some paver stones on the cover to stabilize and retain the oven temperature. Each pizza cooked in about 2 min, rotating 1/2 way through.I only tried this once, and we are sold! I don't know how long this will last, we will probably use this ALOT, so if I got 2 years out of it, I would have gotten my money's worth.I agree that the wingnuts, protrude too far out, and needed to be replaced with a flat screw in order to close the lid to the BBQ. We kept the BBQ lid closed most of the time, we only opened it slightly to rotate the pizzas or take them out/in.I recommend this product for fun back-yard pizza making gatherings.Update: kept this in my garage all winter, no rust. Had 40 people over for Easter Monday, we made over 30- 12 inch pizzas with ease. You need 2 pizza peels to keep things going. A wood one to build the pizza, an aluminum one to rotate and remove from oven. I removed the built in thermometer, since I use a laser thermometer anyway, and was able to line the top completely with paver stones, after achieving 500 degrees, lowered heat to its lowest temp, and got to work.

Research before purchasing
This item was delivered in an undamaged box, inside another perfect box but the item itself is so bent and damaged the wing nuts can’t even be screwed in. Quite a disappointment considering this was a Father’s Day gift. It also had no instructions whatsoever which wouldn’t have been a problem because assembly is pretty self explanatory....However, there is a random outlet plug (also bent and broken) that was sent with it which seems to have no use but I wouldn’t know because again, there were no instructions. I’m just so sad this didn’t work out.

Finally, great pizza on my grill.
It does exactly what you need. It holds heat so the top cooks as fast as the crust. Before I got this, the stone would burn the crust before the cheese melted.
