Comprehensive guide for budding teachers
Very well laid out book. Has great tips for dealing with problems and difficult lessons, and also how to plan a great lesson. Excellent buy!

Useless for anyone looking to do any actual teaching....
Really unimpressed with this book. Shockingly simple and very few actually useful lesson plan ideas. Contains no "problem solving" for helping riders with specific things such as leaning back etc. The first half of the book is nothing to do with teaching even.Only way I can see this being useful is if you wanted to give it to somebody who knows nothing l about horses/riding lessons and you wanted to explain to them what you do or a child who is interested in being an instructor when they grow up.Yet again, disappointed by the BHS

not exactly what I expected
Its geared moreso for beginner instructors. Was hoping it would help me with more advanced riders but either way a good book for the library I guess

More detail please
This is informative and helpful but I find some of the information a little too basic and saying things that are common sense. I would like to see more detail in the book particularly regarding particular excersises to help particular ride problem or issues with the way a horse might be going. The lesson plans at the back of the book are very helpful though

Right book, good condition
We were happy to be able to purchase this hard to find book. It took a little time to arrive, but was in fine condition and met expectations.

interessante
testo valido e interessante. mi reputo soddisfatta perché era ciò che mi aspettavo: spiegazioni brevi e chiare, esercizi utili. lo consiglio (ovviamente per chi legge in inglese)

Too basic
I'm just getting started teaching riding lessons, and I thought this book was very basic, bringing up a lot of common sense concepts but not really having a solid discussion on any of them. The most interesting part was the example lesson plans, but they were all designed for very large groups (8 riders). I was really hoping for more theory on how to approach common topics (how to explain concepts so that beginners can understand them) and tips for ensuring a safe lesson program, but found nothing along those lines here.

I was given a lot of information and data concerning furthering my education to teach. Excellent book written on teaching.
