Gloriously "different" travel book focused on HOW to approach travel --- and ultimately even life
I absolutely love this book. It isn't so much a "where to travel and what to see when you're there" travel book as it is a way to philosophically approach travelling, and even approach living. How might one get more out of their travels, and even their life? This book is filled with suggestions for finding hidden joys that are awaiting discovery.Chapters are crisply written, presented with short, easy to grasp concepts and examples. The author's use of quoting others is great, with some great "keepers" that I've never heard prior to reading this book. Some of his concepts are very profound, and there were several question prompts that I shared with others while reading because they were so rich and thought-provoking.I plan on buying a couple more "Hidden Travel" books for those who I think would benefit from reading the philosophical approaches Steve Brock presents within its pages. An absolute winner!

Extraordinary travel and living your life book
I’ve never written a review before, yet this book needs one...but words fail in an attempt to sum up what this book is truly about. However, a blank review is pointless so let me give it a shot.As I am stepping out of quarantine i wanted to find a book to help me get back into life and to start traveling as I have reluctantly become the “untraveled soul”. I’m nervous and don’t want to go to crowded places, I don’t want to go far and I don’t want to necessarily see what I’ve already seen in other travel books...then I came upon Hidden Travel. Sounded like exactly what i was looking for. It is and it’s “more”. I thought it would tell of secret little spots, something I could wrap my anxious head around...a choose my own adventure with tips kind of book... but the author very eloquently and humorously makes one realize that life is the ultimate trip. The author tells of grand places and exceptional moments and his photography is absolutely stunning (he should be proud of it). But this is far beyond an outstanding book on travel. This is the best “self help” book I’ve read in a long time... it is truly inspiring and empathetic, wise and wonderful. I will start traveling tomorrow, even just around the corner...the anticipation is already worth it.

Great ideas for creating lasting memories...
I finished Hidden Travels last week (while on vacation). Such a great read. So many great tips and advice on how to make the most of your time - both traveling and at home.I took some of the ideas and applied them to my trip last week. It was a girls trip (just me and my 3 daughters). We have been looking forward to this trip for months.. So the week before the trip I created a Pinterest board - GREAT IDEA. It wasn't for an itinerary but more about what each of us was looking for in the trip. It came down to pools and food. All of which we filled the week with. The last day of the trip was the best, because I took the authors advice and splurged a bit the last day and created a great memory for the girls - all pampered by the pool all day.I also loved the 'hidden password' idea in the last 10% of the book. YES, I would love a picture book! I downloaded the pdf on my iPad (easier to see on my iPad than iPhone). Amazing photography.

Get this book before your next journey!
I don't care how or why you are traveling next. Get this book first! Steve Brock conveys, in a simple way, the concepts I am always trying to share with my audience: how to make any travel more extraordinary and personal. Use it for planning your next journey and you will not only find hidden locations around the world, but, more importantly, the hidden places in yourself that will lead to extraordinary and unexpected experiences, no matter how far you are from home. I have been traveling like this for 7 years and I am thrilled to see the ideas put so eloquently between two covers. --Cathy Fulton, author of *Dream. Plan. Travel.*

Capturing the Magic of Travel
Steve seems to see so much more than the places and sites of exploring the world. He looks deeper into how travel can introduce us to people, places and experiences that will enrich and shape us as humans. How does seeing the world make us better people? How does travel make us live more grateful, impactful lives. Thank you Steve for helping me did deep into the world around me. There's so much more to see and experience.

For more than just your next trip!
Hidden Travel is far more than a “how to travel well” book. While Steve Brock offers great insight and practical information related to travel, this jewel in the book is his invitation to consider our “more” in travel, This kind of thinking is impactful in our lives, not only our travel. I appreciated the photography as well as the humor and vulnerability. My copy is happily dog-eared even in a season where travel itself has been curtailed!
