Works well

These are heavy duty thick hinges. I cut 2 pieces, 22 inches long of the same size lumber I was using to build the dock which was a 2x6. I layed them flat and used a square to make a straight line that matched on both pieces. I then centered the alignment holes of he hinges on the line, marked the center of the holes and drilled the holes out. I took that piece of wood that I drilled out squared it up on the dock 2x6 and used 4 deck screws to mount it to the side of the dock. I then stuck the drill into the previously drilled holes and drilled through the dock 2x6. I took the hinges and used 4 inch lag bolts with a nut and washer and mounted it. I did the same thing on the dock.

My dock will not seperate with these installed. They also allow for the raise and fall of the water level. Love this product!

good quality but I would have been happier if it came with the installation bolts.

Used hinge kit to secure a 8' x 12' floating dock to shore using a walkway. Hinges are thick and sturdy felling with decent looking welds.
