Easy to hang, stays in place.
I didn't use the Velcro strips, I just pushed the tabs into the window seam and done. It holds well. I roll the window up and down a lot for my dog and it hasn't slid up at all.

... entire door (side to side in my civic they pretty much do but not from window edge to bottom ...
These do not cover the whole entire door (side to side in my civic they pretty much do but not from window edge to bottom of the door); you really would have to use the velcro pads to hold the thing down when your window is open (I haven't put mine on because I don't want to permanently glue something like that to my door frame) otherwise the thing flys up and practically out the window. If you can find another style of these I'd say look at them first, but if you really have a dog that drools and likes to stick their head out the window and then buy these, but make sure you secure them before you drive down the highway or something along those lines with the window open.

AMAZING
Okay these are freaking amazing! I just bought a car with leather interior and didn’t want my dogs tearing up the doors (because they like to hang their heads out the windows of course) and this is a life saver! It slides in between the window and door perfectly. I think the little plastic suction cup is kind of pointless though. I never attach that part to the window because when you try to roll the window down it gets messed up. You also can’t roll the window completely down because it sometimes will get messed up, so I leave a few inches when rolling down and they stay put fine.

A bunch of little issues, but still keeping
I have a 2-door with fixed back windows. The tabs do not insert like you'd hope so I ended up trimming the plastic tabs to get as much grip as I could before using the velcro to affix. I wish there were more strips included for installs like this. There are a couple of other little issues too though, not just my small weird car. The velcro sticky back is easily to rip right off with the white paper cover. Once affixed, the sticky bit really isn't that sticky against hard plastic so the slightest tug causes some of the velcro strips to pull right off. Lastly, the don't seem tall enough. Like I said, I have this tiny weird car (Fiat 500e) and the height of these just doesn't grant full coverage. I have about 2-3" of bottom sticking out. Width seems fine for me, but if you have a normal sized car you might find the width lacking too.Update 1:After about 2 weeks most of the velcro backing detached from the car door or the velcro strip itself. Basically all the strips at this point are defective or will soon be completely ineffective at holding the protectors up. The attachment method needs serious work.

Love these car door covers by Plush Paws!
Bought these along with the waterproof bench seat cover by Plush Paws - love them both! These were easy to install - they clip in nice and snugly and there is one of those suction cups for the window - didn't even need to use the little stickie things that are provided for further securing them on the door. My doors have some dark hard vinyl and some light colored cloth, and my rescue dog Sam (lab mix) likes to swim, so they are perfect for protecting my new used car....

Works perfectly to protect door from scratches.
I chose this item over the ones with net pockets as I could imagine nails sliding down the cover would get caught in the netting. This is much better. Didn't need to use the velcro either, just put tabs in window slot and it stays in place. This is exactly what we needed!

Great for the Toyota 4Runner.
We bought these with the Plush Paws cargo cover. Great ensemble in our Toytota 4Runner. I read that this doesn't fit other vehicles, but it totally fits in our windows so they roll up and down. We didn't do the velcro because the adhesive melts in the heat; so velcro isn't worth it and it ruins your car. We drove with the windows down and they didn't flap in the wind and they totally protect the doors for dog paws. Worth the money. My only recommendation would be to make them a little longer. It would be nice to have total door coverage, especially when the seats are up.

Works
So far the product works. I have not really had any trouble with them slipping out of the window, but again , it is still cold here in MN, so windows have not been down much. The clips went right into the back windows. I think they will not fit my front windows bc the spacing in the front windows are closer together. I got this newer car with power windows and locks ( which I have never liked those, I like my regular roll down windows and Manuel log doors but getting really hard to find cars like that anymore grrrrrrrrrr!! The products keep my dogs from scratching the areas by the windows but they really miss sticking their heads out the window. Not happy campers.Over all, the product works to protect your car from your dogs scratching. They fit my car perfectly and I thought the length was just right.
