Great Little Product
I carry this on my jet ski to moor my jet ski when we stop at islands on our lake. It screws into the sandy shore easily and holds the jet ski even with stronger currents. It's very light and compact, taking up little space in my storage compartment. A must for any jet ski.

The Best Ground Stake There Is
If you have been looking for the absolute the best ground anchor for tents/tarps/pets/children/awnings/rafts/horses, look no farther. As a background, I’ve spent years camping throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons as a commercial river guide, both here in the US and across the globe, and one of the major headaches is not being able to secure the guests tents and/or the group rain/shade tarps because of weak stakes that bend or pull out. After trying the MSR groundhog stakes, steel horse anchors, and every variation of the ground stake thereof, I purchased this screw because a friend who knows my frustrations recommended I try it as it worked for them.Simply said, this is the best ground stake imaginable. It works in every soil type I have found other than solid rock and cannot be pulled out (you have to unscrew it from the ground). I have screwed it into rocky soil when literally every other tent stake other people were using bent rather than go into the ground. I’ve also had it hold in 50+ MPH wind when the nylon tarp tore in half (It was not that windy when the tarp was set up the night before).I don’t review many things on amazon as I’m often underwhelmed by their real-world performance. The orange screw, however, is everything it claims. I now own 4 of the large and 8 small and I cannot recommend them enough. You will not suffer bent tent stakes or have the situation where a stake pulls out. These are amazing. Buy more than you think as you will find a use for them.

We are thrilled with this item.
We bought this because we were looking for a dog stake for our 90-pound farm dog. When we take her out in the fields, we want to keep her out of the woods. We put her on a 60-foot lead and stake her where we are working. She is a puller who throws all her weight in an effort to get to birds, rabbits, whatever is running past. She's broken ever metal dog stake we've had.We got this on a whim after Amazon suggested it to us. It was a reasonable price and had a satisfaction guarantee. We figured what did we have to lose. We used it for the first time today. It was SO easy to get in the ground as opposed to the stupid dog stakes. It went right in. She ran and pulled and tried to get a crow that was taunting her. The screw never even came loose. It held her weight so well. Then when we moved to a different patch of ground, it came out of the ground so easily! My husband is asking why we didn't get this before and is tossing all the stupid, bent dog stakes. I just ordered two more orange screws.

Does the job
We purchased these to use at the beach. It took a few attempts but we finally figured out a way to keep the pups from pulling it up out of the sand. The truck was to dig a hole, twist the Orange Screw deep into the sand and then bury it with heavy wet sand. We also sat our cooler on top just to be sure we weren’t going to be chasing our dogs down the beach. With some creative usage this served our purpose! We have not used these on harder ground yet, but plan to in our upcoming camping trip. I feel like these will work great in more solid ground so I don’t anticipate any problems!

I was skeptical but it works.
We've used this on Oregon beaches several times now and it truly works. It takes some practice to set it correctly in the sand but once you get it, it stays secure. And our border collie with pull at the edges of his giant circle when another dog walks by. Trick is, dig down a few inches in the sand before you start screwing the thing in. Sink it all the way down (which can get hard so you can use a stick for leverage). Once it's in the firmer sand it will stay as long as the dog is pulling laterally. If you, the human, pull straight up on the screw you can pull it out, but the dog is pulling laterally so there is a lot of resistance. We keep our dog on a 30' leash where he can roam all around, maybe even just to the water and back to the beach shelter where his fresh water bowl is.

Shi bumi anchor
Bought this to try as an anchor instead of the sand bag. It works like champ!

Better than expected! Will buy more.
Used it on the beach to tie out our 33lb puppy Pyredoodle. Held up great, easy to use. She did work it slightly loose on one occasion whilst getting used to the leash length, but it took her running full speed to a snatch to loosen it. Very easy to sink into the sand at the beach, I havent used it in any other soil types; but I imagine rocky soil would be a problem. I really didn't realize how cool this item is, I will definitely be buying more for various uses such as staking down tents & such.My ONLY negative is the thickness of the sleeve that you use as the tool to twist it. It is very thin, and even in sand I felt as though I may crack/break it. Time will tell how it holds up in harder soil.

Don’t waste your money.
I would give this 0 stars if I could.I searched for a dog tie out and this came across...it is considered the “workhorse” if their line and can hold up to “650 pounds” of force. This arrived on a Saturday and I put it in that afternoon but Tuesday afternoon my 50# dog had already pulled it out of the ground. Mind you, she’s only out for around 1 1/2 to 2 hours out of the course of a whole day so this had around 6 hours of a dog being tied to it before it came completely out of the ground.if you come across this while looking for a good dog tie out, look elsewhere!!
