I would like to order an engraving plate for this board before this arrives. Can someone tell me the width of the slanted edge of this chest board?

I'm sorry I can't answer this for you. But I will say that this chess set is stunning! You could also put the engraving on the top in between both players along the side.

Does this set comes with a box for storing the whole set or the chess pieces?

Hello Storage box can be purchased from this link on amazon. Please select either big or small storage box you would like to purchase. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GH6SWNL
