Really nice overdrive. Great alternative to Blues Driver
As you might already know, this is a clone of the Boss Blues Driver. And a good one. It's a little bigger than most other pedals (taller and wider) but seems very solid and well-made. Looks like it would be pretty durable if you play out a lot. Smooth switch. Makes no noise of any kind when you click it on or off. Really nice warm overdrive. This is half the price of a Blues Driver so it's a great value.

Cinder pedal sound Great!
This pedal was very affordable and is perfect to push front end, just right. Not heavy gain, good for volume and drive with the volume driving the tone.Seems well built. Works as it should. Easy to dial in with only three knobs.Should have come with a power supply ( not a big deal)Overall, good inexpensive option for beginners or pros.No hum or excessive feedbacks. Paired well with Marshall JCM 2000, and also cheaper Hugh’s and Kettner “spirit or rock” amp.No plastic except the knobs. I would buy it again. Didn’t affect the amps tones poorly. All in all, I like it.

A Better Built Copy of a Blues Driver for Half the Price!
Title says it all. This is a very well built, true bypass copy of a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver for about half of what they cost. Excellent at low overdrive and very decent at high over drive. It even creeps into fuzz territory when you crank it way up. An excellent pedal, the only thing to note is that you have to turn the level up to the 12:00 or higher position to match your amp (it changes as you turn the drive up or down. I still think you could slam a tube amp if you wanted to, but I'm using it with a Roland JC-22 so that isn't an option for me.This pedal is extremely well at tube feel emulation, as in striking the strings softly or hard to increase/decrease drive, and it resonds very well to rolling off the volume knob on your guitar.I originally bought the TC Electronic Tube Pilot but returned it because it did none of these things and you can't reduce the drive enough to get a barely-overdriven sound with that one. I strongly recommend the Cinders over the Tube Pilot if you are considering both.

A great overdrive and all the controls are useful
The Cinders overdrive has the upper frequency details and chime you need without losing bottom end or becoming harsh. The full range of the tone control is useful and sounds good. The gain levels cover everything I need (and if I need more I just stack the Cinders with another of my drives). All my overdrives have to stack well with each other and the Cinders does this like a champ. The Cinders drive isn't just a good pedal for the money, it's simply a great overdrive. The Cinders drive has great dynamics and touch-sensitivity.

Great Buy for the money
This is not a distortion pedal, but it is not super transparent either. So, if your looking to boost your dirty sound just a touch, this may be for you. Oh btw, it's build like a tank.

Love, love love it
I just got this pedal yesterday and I can't stop playing. I have a bass version of this and it works well, so I decided to try TC's version of the Boss overdrive. It sounds so good that I also bought their chorus and delay pedals. Great product! It has a real warm tone that does not sound thin or tinny compared to the clean channel with no effect. A lot of times an overdrive sounds good until you turn it off, then the clean sound is so much better.

Pretty good overdrive
The cinders is, in my opinion better for lower gain amps/pickup combinations. It’s sounds ok but I have better options ( I like a tighter overdrive). For the money you can’t beat what you get. It’s built like a tank and feels roadworthy.

Sizzly Blues Driver for a good price
This pedal is a great value and functions well. It's strikes me as very close to the Boss Blues Driver, maybe with a little more gain on tap. Gain goes from a fizzy crunch, through all the "edge of breakup" stuff we all know and love, to just a hint of drive. Tone knob goes from dark and murky to spiky and bright. All knobs are smooth and responsive. Like all of the TC pedals in this line, it's a sturdy, metal enclosure that feels like it could take some abuse. The switch action takes some time to get used to but I've learned to like it, you just have to anticipate when you want it to engage a little. I basically have it as an "always on" pedal, but it's dead silent when bypassed.A note for those of you with limited space on your board: this thing is big. The pedal is big and the knobs are big. That's a good thing when you're playing because it's less fiddly with the knobs and you don't have to worry as much about mashing other pedals nearby when you go for the switch, but...yeah. I think the top jacks help with keeping the overall real estate it takes up to a minimum (a Boss style with 90degree patch cables is pretty similar in width, but a fair amount shorter), especially when it's next to other top jack pedals, but if you're looking to fill a small spot on the board with another gain stage it's probably best to go for something else.If the size works for you though, this pedal is all around fun, easy to use, sturdy, and a overall a good choice.
