Great filter! My water tastes like nothing!
I live in Southern California and the tap water here is so hard and gross because it never rains. I have been using regular filters and they do ok but my water still had a slight metallic taste to it. I tried this ultra filter to see if it would do any better and it did! It tastes like nothing! Definitely worth a few extra bucks if you have really hard water.

This is my second purchase of this filter. Great Value and easy to install.
If you take time to read the easy-to-follow instructions, you'll find this filter a snap to install. It has all the qualities of the GE filter but costs much less. I haven't noticed anything different in the taste or quality. I will continue to purchase these filters for the life of my GE refrigerator.

Recommended instructions?
Filter worked fine and was a perfect replacement for the existing filter. The only recommendation I'd make would be to pre-fill the filter before putting it in line. That would minimize the air in the system. This, of course, assumes your filter is in the upright position to mount. Bleeding the system is not a big deal . . . just run the water until it stops sputtering. Use a large pitcher close to the water output to contain the splatter and save yourself cleaning up a mess.
