So, I don't write reviews. The way I look at it, I expect a product to work as advertised. I have to make an exception here, however.This model Hamilton Beach air-fryer/toaster over is just superb. Foods cook nicely, albeit a bit more slowly than in other brands we've had over the years. That's fine, though - it's much easier to cook slowly and be able to gauge when to remove foods than to set a timer only to find your dinner is a combination of burned at the edges and frozen in the middle. We've cooked all manner of different foods in the HB and, so far, not a single bad experience. Toasted bagels, frozen biscuits, fried fish, pizza reheats, grilled cheese (our grandson's fave), swiss melted on ham over rye bread...I'm drooling just writing this stuff down.I should add that the door design is splendid. Having the door open up, sliding over the top of the unit leaves the front counterspace clear for prep. Great engineering, gang.The unit housing gets hot, so don't stack anything on top. Besides, you won't be able to open the door if the top is blocked with anything, so a win/win for safety.We highly recommend this particular model. It does everything we ask for a very competitive price. This one is a winner.

Our old 4 slice toaster and 30 y/o toaster oven were dying and our air fryer was not big enough to do 2 foods at once. This looked like a good replacement and additional air fry capacity. All the functions are slower, you really need 1800 watts or more this has 1500, but those toaster ovens cost 2 to 3 times more. All the settings are manual, but again digital ovens are much more expensive. Toasting is adequate, but slow. Can toast 6 slices of bread, 3 english muffins or 2 large bagels. Baking or warming food is easy. The convection/air fry is a little slow as 5 minute preheat is required and a little longer cooking time. The convection/air fry fan is very quiet. The slide up door gives you good counter space in front of the oven. Easy to remove and clean crumb tray. This will do what the big buck units will do if you are patient.

I have had many toaster ovens from many brands. NONE compare to Hamilton Beach. It toasts evenly, bakes perfectly. And this model has the air fry feature! The best part is, after searching endlessly for low price to high end models, this is the only one that the air fry basket sits up on legs and fits on the baking tray to catch fluids when you’re air frying. Other models don’t have this and drippings go onto the baking elements and are terrible to clean and/or create smoke. Also, they’ve upgraded the clean-ability factor on this model…it has a roll up lid but for ease of cleaning they’ve added buttons to the front glass panel which allows it to open so you can clean the inside of the glass. A previous model I had did not do this and it was tough to clean inside the lid. But this one is great! I can’t say enough about this model. Price was worth it also.

If you don't have an oven, this might be a decent purchase. It did not work out well for me. The fan in it and the toaster oven configuration make it a small convection oven and not an air fryer that has a constant blast of heater air. The size and the wattage rating should have warned me of potential problems. Regulations these days have made countertop appliances underpowered. The government apparently thinks that making toast over seven minutes somehow saves electricity compared to making it in three minutes (it doesn't).I bought this in part to replace an older existing toaster oven, and in part to fool around with air frying. I happen to also have a stove with two ovens, one large, and one for pizza that can also toast. This is no joke, my big pizza oven actually makes toast FASTER than this toaster oven, by a good three minutes. Wattage does matter.Without being able to make fast toast, and without the blast needed for air frying, this unit just took up counter space and I removed it. For someone who wants a small convection oven in an apartment that can also do pizza in a pinch, this could be just the ticket. Just be prepared to wait for toast - start it before you start brewing your drip coffee and it might time out about right for coffee and hot toast.

Hamilton Beach fits my needs and is better than Emeril's advertised on TV. That one only lasted a year.I like the door which lifts and saves space. It's a little flimsy But does everything it promised. Did not include a cook book. But it is offered on-line. I just use the guide from the old one.

Very disappointed.I was excited to purchased this at the end of July 2022. The air fryer mode never really did much, but I mostly use it to toast and bake so I kept it. Today is a about 7 months later. I went to use it this evening for dinner and no heat, no red lights going on.. Nothing! It’s DEAD.Not happy.The link and phone number to the manufacturer saying to make an online contact. No specific area to say it failed. I filled in the form. I guess I’ll have to wait and see what happens.PS. I purchased Amazon’s 4 extended warranty, but it’s still under the manufacturer’s warranty, so I’m told to contact the manufacturer 😢

Have only had this a couple of weeks, but use it almost daily. So far, I love this toaster/oven/air fryer. Great for toast of course, but it also is large enough to bake a frozen pizza in less time, using less energy! Also have cooked a meatloaf in this using the convection/air fryer mode. So far, no complaints at all. I like that the handle stays cool, and the door lifts UP completely out of the way. I recommend this one!

I am not sure how to get to the hinge to fix it, It broke so it is very difficult to open and close it. Also, when I try to open it, the glass falls out. I love to use the toaster. It does a great job for all my needs.
