Brilliant boots! Ordered due to interest and mention in a favourite book. Tried them on and fit was perfect. Extremely comfortable- I have plantar fasciitis and usually use specific insoles for comfort, but haven't needed them with these boots. Very lightweight but can get warm.

This is my second pair and they are the best boots I have ever had. The first pair lasted over 18 months in a harsh industrial environment. I could've still wore them but a lace broke and my work pays for 2 pair of boots per year so I figured I saved them enough.

Falls apart at incredible speed. Both zippers broke with normal wear within a few weeks, and wouldn't stay zippered. Frayed stitches and loose threads everywhere. Waterproofing was good for a few splashes. Took standing in ankle deep water at a fire scene to finally soak through just a few days into bteaking them in. Buy waterproofing spray and plan on having to re-coat these everytime they get wet. For some reason these also won't stay tied, the laces are terrible. Athlete's foot factory, your feet will sweat like no tomorrow and you'll never get the smell out. Slip resistant? More like slip on carpet. Almost took a few nasty spills just wearing these, they slip on anything. Slightly Damp concrete, ambulance door sill, dry wood flooring. You name it and I've almost slipped and fallen on it wearing these. Used to really like this brand. And this boot was one of the few that meets my squad's goofy requirements. Lesson learned I guess.Just so you know; Original Swat has a 90 day warranty. However they won't do anything to help you. You have to return them to the store you bought them from so the store can start the process. And, yeah, the Amazon seller will refuse to cooperate. Do not purchase these from an Amazon seller/reseller, buy them from a store in person. Or just buy the more expensive boots from a better brand.
