Had no issues this far with this dummy battery. My last one that I got from another company actually fried my camera’s motherboard, I was like yo have it under warranty.This one works great and performs as described.

What cam you say about a simple dummy battery power cable? It simply works! Plugged it into my Sony A7C and the D-tap end into my Moman v-mount battery and I was off an running. It's a fairly long cable which is thankfully coiled so this should work with just about any rig.

First of all, you need a D-Tap battery to make use of this adapter.If you do, this will allow you to have a much extended recording and peace of mind!

Just received it in the mail to find this X.x I know the battery is technically an empty shell with simply the electricals running through it but for the price paid for this, it is very unfortunate... the cable seems like a very robust cable but I can't go on shoot with a broken dummy battery not to mention risk having it short circuit in my FX3...*UPDATED 09/11/2021*The Company reached out to me within a few days of writing my original review and sent me a replacement unit. The new unit came very fast and was in perfect condition! I really appreciate that the Sellers went above and beyond to fix the problem, they easily could have not done anything about it! Really reflects the companies standards and their dedication to Customer Service so 5 STARS team! Would Highly recommend and the product was always of high quality!

only the green light was turning on when I inserted the D Tap end into my battery but the dummy battery failed to turn on the camera. Tried it on 2 different sony cameras and the same result. I returned it and bought the cheaper Fotga dummy battery and it worked like a charmUPDATE:++++++++++++After the supplier read my review, they reached out promptly and suggested sending a second unit at no additional cost. I received the second unit which works perfectly and so I have now changed my review to a 4. It can not be 5 since this is a replacement.

As a cinematographer I tend to switch between different cameras for different types of work. However, I don't really want a rig for each, and powering my rig is usually done with vlock batteries (with dtap).This adapter let's me connect my Sony to my existing rig and gives me oodles of power. Tested through a splitter as well with no issues.Love the light to let me know the power is flowing, and if you plug in upside down, it turns red - nice and useful touch

Worked fine for about 1 minute then afterwards the camera came up with a message that the battery was not compatible.It seemed like a great product and I like the status light on the side but at this point I don't know what to do.Camera used Sony A7IV.
