I was looking for the book which explains how to built a container house from scratch and this book answered many of my questions indeed. After reading this book I understood that there is no step-by-step guides and everyone has to make their own choices depending on the conditions. However, this book is the most informative compared to others and contains a lot of really useful tips, information and aspects you should consider when building a house out of containers. Totally worth the money!

I liked this book but some of the info you can find for free on the internet. It did have a lot of useful tips and I like having an actual book to take notes in. It was very well written and was easy to follow. It is a great book for those of us who are just starting to learn about container homes. A lot of very useful, basic info. Gives a lot of good advice and a great foundation of knowledge to get you on the right track to building your home. I found it helpful and will make a great reference guide as we look into more detailed info on how to proceed.

Very disappointed, felt like reading report from high school student, no real detail. I have downloaded pdf's on container homes on the internet with more information.

If you’re looking for a book with slick photos of cool container homes, this is not that book. There are no photos at all. But there is a lot of good, basic info for those starting out with the idea of creating a shipping container home. It seems like a quick, easy read.

I got this book based on its high star rating, but was very disappointed. Right from when I opened the book, the writing is large and is double line spaced, like a student trying to pack as few words as possible into a five page essay. The formatting is very basic. I'm not sure what it is, but there is something that book publishers do that makes the pages in books readable, this book lacks whatever that is. It's like the author has just written the document in MS Word and published whatever came out.In terms of content, there isn't much here that can't be found looking on the internet. There are no illustrations whatsoever, which is very important when trying to explain the concepts covered in this book. A lot of the explanations are high schoolish, lack detail and and are unclear. This just comes across as a self published book, where the author has sat down and written ten thousand words and hit print. I'm unsure how this book ever got such a high rating.I strongly recommend Shipping Container Homes: For Beginners. At less than two thirds of the price and with a lower star rating, it has far more information, (the lines are single spaced).

Esencial information if you are dreaming with your own shipping container home. This book contains valuable tips and advice as well as step by step guides that are extremely useful for a newby. I highly recommend this book if you are interested on this subject.

I don't know if I'll ever build such a home, but if I do, I'll have a better time with it for having read this book. It's short but describes a lot of easy-to-make mistakes and tips that can save you money and make for a safer, more livable house. I don't see information about specific layouts, which I would have liked. Still, good advice.

Another book filled with things you can find in 2 minutes on the web by search of "container homes". Not worth it, I am returning this book.
