Provides lots of light with a low amp draw. The swivel feature is nice as you can direct the light where you need it and that's very useful on a boat. (In our case, we usually direct the light up to the white overhead (ceiling) because it reflects off and lights the entire compartment very well...but when we need to we can direct the light down where we need it. Installation is as easy as 2 wires and 2 screws. The only reason for 4 star rating (as opposed to 5) is that $21 is a good price...but not a great one.But overall: Happy with the purchase, would recommend it to others and will buy again.

The cabin lighting for my sailboat works nicely. Ceiling mounted works great, the light pivots for directional lighting, is bright and with the switch, I can choose which ones I want lit or not. Most lights I looked at do not have the switch or swivel capabilities. The plastic brackets are prone to cracking if screwed in too tight.

This Shorline light was almost an exact replacement for our aging vanity light in our boats head. Bonus is the low power LEDs vice the dual halogen bulbs used by the old light. Another plus is the Shoreline's LEDs provide much more light then the halogen bulbs.

This item was purchased as a replacement for a florescent light over the sink in my RV. It is a bit too small to light the room like the other one but it worked well. I have since purchased an LED light to put there and I am going to use this light in another smaller area that it will be perfect for. It mounts easily enough and the swivel is nice to aim the light just a bit. Overall for the price it is a very good purchase for use instead of a incandescent bulb.

Darn! I really wanted this to work. I was going to replace a 12v fluorescent fixture in my motor home. It just isn't bright. Accent light. Night light, something like that but for a general do anything type of light it's a no. Maybe if you only needed to light up a small area - about the size of a laptop - it'd work for you.One thing - I had to wire it opposite of how the fluorescent was wired. Maybe it's my fluorescent, maybe not. Unit didn't seem to mind, it just wouldn't turn on until I changed the wires around.

They are pretty good. Installed on the boat. Wish I had gotten the bright white if they have. The cool light is good but not bright. But I like them enough and using a lot less power. I got 7 to retro the whole boat. This replaced all the fluorescents.

I replaced a small fluorescent fixture on my boat with the 12 inch shoreline marine Led. It is brighter, more compact, was easy to install and much lower priced that comparable fixtures from the big name marine store. Very happy with purchase.
