This product is an outstanding performer at a great value. The 1oz bottle is packaged in a box with a manly graphic on it. The box clearly lists the ingredients and directions for use. I feel like the directions are unnecessary as anyone with a beard should know how to use beard oil. The bottle itself is sturdy and the dropper is marked so the user knows how much they are actually using.The scent. This is where Origin Perfect Storm Cedar stands head and shoulders above other beard oils. It has a strong smoky scent reminiscent of a camp fire or burning village, and a real mellow cedar hint. With most beard oils the scent may linger for an hour or so. This cedar stays with you for a few hours. What I like best about the scent is that its done right. It smells like a product my grandpa would have used and when I use it it reminds me of him.Performance. So far so good. The product arrived yesterday and I used it last night. I work in a hospital that is dryer than Southern Iraq and it just sucks all the moisture out of a person. I noticed when I applied the oil within a minute or two the beard softened up. With other products it takes longer. I feel this product will moisturize better making the beard less itchy and cutting down on beardruff.Lastly, let's talk residue. It sucks to put some oil or balm in and the rest of the day everytime you answer your phone it leaves an oil slick on the screen. Thst has not happened with this product. It absorbs quickly. Which tells me they are using better ingredients than their competitors.Value. You won't spend less money by purchasing this product. However, price is what you pay and value is what you get. This product works. It absorbs, it moisturizes, and it smells killer. For a 20 spot you will have a hard time finding a better oil. So pull the trigger and make your beard happy.

Admittedly, I purchased to support the creators of this product, Origin Maine, and to further support the "Made and Sourced in America" movement. I have purchased other products from Origin Maine and I have found them to be of high quality so I expected nothing less from their beard oil. I guess there are a lot of factors that people take into account when they evaluate beard oil. For me, the most important thing is that it softens and hydrates so that I don't have to deal with brittle hair and itchy skin. I have been using the oil for a couple days now and it seems to be doing the trick. The beard feels soft and my skin feels good too. As for the other details, my order shipped and arrived quickly. In fact it arrived well before the predicted timeframe communicated by Amazon. Out of the three available scents, I chose the perfect storm cedar. The scent is good and very similar to other cedar scented beard oils I have tried. I hadn't really thought much about the scent hanging around for a long time but as I have payed attention a little more, I have found that it is fairly vibrant at first and remains noticeably subtle throughout the day. If you are into packaging, Origin Maine doesn't disappoint. Product design is obviously a strong suit. It gives the impression of a high quality product and I have that the impression rings true. So, if you are into manly scents and you want to maintain or improve the condition of your beard while supporting American Manufacturing, Consider Origin Maine's new line up of beard oils. I think you will be happy, as I am, with your purchase.

I bought the cedar scent as my first purchase and I was not disappointed. It had a rugged smell that wasn’t too overpowering. I wear a mask all day for work and it was subtle enough to smell it, but not overpowering with the mask on.I’ve been using lotion to prevent beard “dandruff” and I thought it was time to man up and use an oil again. I say again because the last time I bought a bottle from the corner store, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and got the cheap stuff. I decided to make my own, and in that research learned how companies fill their beard oil with cheap base oils, put a fancy smell in it, and put a lumberjack on the cover to hide the fact that it’s a crap product.This beard oil on the other hand is made from high quality oils, mixed just right, with a subtle bottle design. It doesn’t need to be flashy because it gets the job done. Look at the label and do your own research. They really perfected the mix and I was happy with how well it moisturized my skin underneath my beard.I’ve had other beard oils stain and ruin multiple shirts and jackets. I did not have that problem with Origin Beard oil. Even if you get a little excited and add to much to your beard, you won’t be reminded of it later.Moral of the story: This is a quality product and it shows Origin used quality oils. They did the research to create the perfect blend of oils so you don’t have to.Well worth the cost, and it has kept me feeling feeling confident. After all, life is a journey, not a destination.

I knew nothing about beard oil until the last few years. I never gave the brand or what was in it much thought so I just bought whatever was available. I have been following Jocko, listening to the Order of Man Podcast, which both led me to Origin. I have been on a big kick lately on trying to make sure that I buy or at least attempt to buy American-made and sourced products so when I heard about the beard oil, I was sold.I have been using it since it was first available. I will admit that my beard is softer and there is no trace of an itch. I have fairly sensitive skin and there have been no issues. My wife loves the smell (cedar) so that makes it worth it right there. I am not sure how it "stimulates growth" but time will tell. I have been pushing to see how far I can go on growing my beard at work. I am hoping that my Chief doesn't call me out and make me trim it back. Loving the bigger beard.With all that said, I will be buying this from now on. I am excited to try the other scents as well. Thank you Origin for bringing true manufacturing to our country.
