Says on the cover it's the definitive story behind the films. Well no, it isn't. That's the Rinzer trilogy. All this book does is remind you how perfect they are. This book is dull, lifeless and full of rewriting the history of the films via lengthy recent sycophantic interviews with Lucas. Lucas loves to self-mythologize. If only he were consistent. Watch the DGA interview with Chris Nolan and he says he invented the use of the roto-motion-control camera. Read this book and he says it was Joe Johnston. The pictures often have no relation to the text. They're often bland because all the good ones are in the Rinzer books. Also nitpicking but, I notice Leia in Return of the Jedi section is shown fighting with spear when pictured in slave outfit, I guess because Disney feel it's aged badly. The caption reads, "Leia fights to free her love". What's not mentioned, and you'd think it would be, is that the scene was cut from the movie. That's this book. Read the Rinzer ones instead.

Oltre mezzo migliaio di pagine per indagare a fondo la storia legata alla produzione della Trilogia Originale.PRO :- Prezzo irrisorio per un volume di tali dimensioni e formato;- Oltre 500 pagine a colori;- Opera didascalica con foto di produzione, interviste (anche a Lucas), bozzetti e aneddoti;- Regalo perfetto per ogni fan.Contro:- Non è un volume da leggere "tutto d'un fiato";- Disponibile solamente in lingua Inglese attualmente.

Non voglio dilungarmi troppo, quindi scriverò due righe che magari potrebbero essere utili per un potenziale acquirente: libro della taschen. Copertina rigida nera lucida, robusta. Moltissime foto interviste e curiosità, il contenuto è ricco ed i 20€ sono ben spesi. Se devo fare una critica forse e’ per il formato. Il libro è abbastanZa piccolo, a mio avviso un poco scomodo da maneggiare… trovo il tutto un po’ troppo compresso. Se ci vedete bene come falchi non avrete problemi comunque haha… non posso che promuoverlo da fan della saga
