Design ToscanoGears of Time Clock: Large

Great clock, unique, detail and coloring as pictured, shipping as promised, solid & heavy, likely tough to hang since to different holes will have to precisely be aligned by approximating w/ trial & error...I ordered the large and recommend the large size if the dimension work with your space since a good portion of this piece is the artistic aspect. Purchased 'used like new- packaging damaged, chipped on top.' Packaging was fine, chip on top as described, but worth the savings since it won't be overwhelmingly obvious on the wall.

This is the most magestic piece I have ever seen. It is actually more beautiful in person and not as heavy as I expected. A bit pricy but honestly I went back and forth about spending the money and looked at a bunch of other similar clocks before deciding to do it. SO glad we did!

My husband hung this in his office and he absolutely loves the design. So unique.

It's a bit heavy and a challenge to hang but looks fabulous in my kitchen/breakfast area. Goes great with my decor. Something of this design would not be as impressive in a smaller version in my opinion.

It’s a beautiful clock and I loved it but Very heavy . Hard to install .Fell from the wall just by the vibration of walking and dented the wooden floorIt should have a wire hanger ( like paintings ) not just two holes . Very unstable if you hang on wall

Great piece and much less gold then in th picture which is great- very urban vintage! The large is even semi small so just be aware of demensions!

Used in living room

While the appearance is nice, the clock hands are nothing more than paper. Mine arrived Bent I’m so bad I’ll have to return. This is a heavy item with several fatal flaws. Good luck hanging it as you have to be exactly on.

This is one huge chunk of clock! It is over 2 feet long and almost as wide and weighs over 18lbs! My husband said he would fix it to a piece of wood first and then fix that to the wall as he wouldn't trust the two small holes in the back to hold the clock onto wall screws, and it would certainly do someone some damage if it fell.It is a fantasy "Steampunk" clock made by Toscana, who are more widely known for making indoor and outdoor statuary from classical figures to angels and fairies--so this is quite a change for them to produce something Industrial-looking.The clock is made of resin and crushed stone and then hand painted in earthy and metallic tones. There is a clock dial with fretwork hands and Roman numerals and the tick is (to my ears) silent as it runs on an AA battery (not supplied).Then there are two suns, a globe, and an assortment of gears and cogs--none of these have any purpose except decoration as nothing moves, which is a great shame.This is a very macho piece. It would suit a bar area or very sheltered BBQ/patio or in an apartment in an old factory building. I don't think it would often be a woman's choice of furnishing.I would give it a higher rating if it had been presented in an attractive box instead of a brown cardboard one, and if the battery and wall fixings had been supplied OR if it had been a third of the price--it really doesn't look classy or expensive I'm afraid.
