Q: Product description says self cleaning option but I don't have a self clean option. How does it self clean?

You fill the bowl about one third full of warm water and washing up liquid set temperature to 250 timer for 10 minutes that usually cleans the bowl. Wipe the inner lid with a damp warm cloth when it has cooled down. DONT immerse the top in any liquid. Hope this helps

It depends what you cook as to how many people it will serve but I suspect it will. No, you don't have to use oil but many of the recipes have marinades on them. Yes, you can cook chips with a little oil sprinkled over otherwise the chips will dry out. The best thing to do is to buy yourself a recipe book especially for halogen ovens - The Everyday Halogen Oven Cookbook by Sarah Flowers.

Q: How easy is it to fit a new bulb?

I've just had to scrap my halogen oven of just over 3 years old because the bulb blew. I found a replacement on Amazon but before I ordered I started to take it apart to be sure I could replace the bulb/element. I could not get into the inner workings of the lid, spoke to a local electrician who advised it would cost approx £45.00 to repair!! It only cost me £49 new. Decided that at the element had only lasted 3 yrs it was better to get a new cooker. Advice on the packets I saw on line strongly advice professional tradesmen repair it.
