compact and powerful for the garage
powerful enough to heat up my garage on a cold morning, let it run for 15 minutes, to obtain a reasonable temp, then switch it off - garage size 18 sq,m approx, good value solution, fairly cheap to run as well

STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST USE OF ANY EXTRA / EXTENSION CABLES WTH THIS HEATER
The is an industrial type heater. It has quite a short lead for its plug and you may be tempted to use an extension cable with it. But I wouldSTRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST EXTENSION CABLE WITH THE HEATER please plug heater directly into wall socket without using extension cable.- risk of overheating the extension cable and its plug and therefore fire risk.It is a good quick heater, and I do not wish to harm business for the company at all.But PLEASE BE CAREFUL as it has a high output (2800w) for your regular 13amp uk plugsWe were about to turn it on last night but it didn't work, not because the heater was broken but because the heat from it had gone through our extension cable socket and been too powerful for the wires of the extension cable and was overheating and so the extn cable broke.I understand now that this is what the smell had been when I used the heater sometimes.Again, very good heater, just be careful as it has a strong output which is a lot slim wires of extn cable to deal with.Just plug heater directly into wall with its own cable.

Very happy with this little space heater
Does the job of warming up my conservatory quickly enough that I can have my breakfast in there - much more effective than the 2 electric radiators I was using. It is a bit noisy if you want it on at full wack when you are in there, but that was not what I needed.

Very sturdy & powerful.
I bought this to replace a plastic bodied heater that melted. This is very powerful, sturdy and quite quiet.

A powerful budget heater, but not so durable.
I bought two of these heaters to take fullest advantage of Octopus power-ups (intervals of free electricity) in our area. However, a bag unknowingly blew into the workshop and stuck to the rear air intake grille, causing the affected heater to overheat. No obstruction to fan rotation though.Least budget-conscious heaters would safely activate a BMS switch under such conditions (typically the thermostat) and recover after cooling. The heater did indeed cut out but, after cooling, only the heating element remained working without the fan.Further investigation (I am an electronics design engineer) revealed internal heater trip and separate thermal fan fuse remained intact, with the fan motor itself having sustained permanent damage.Lessons learned, I simply discarded the defunct heater, particularly as protection and durability of the fan motor appears to be the weak point, and a heater without fan could introduce other hazards. Easy enough to source and replace the fan motor, but just isn't worth it for the price and quality of the heater, which I'll certainly not be replacing like-for-like.

Faulty
Fan works but the heating element doesn’t work at all. So basically useless to me.
