Change counter for children
we bought these for our grandchildren when they were very little in there now in their twenties so this review is 20 some years old.

Fun Teaching Tool
I bought two a few years ago. The door at the bottom broke on one of the the first day, but my husband rigded it back somehow. My girls used the banks for a year and now only one uses it sometimes. Overall, I think it is a good educational toy. Sometimes entering the money (if a lot at one time) can be time consuming. They liked them a lot at the beginning because they felt like they were a little more grown and responsible.

ATM Bank Is A-OK
Love it! To this day I use it on a regular basis. Better than a real ATM because you can actually deposit coins as well as bills. Wish I could find more of them to give as gifts, but everybody is sold out.

Not Secure
I should start out and say the item I received was used but still in good condition. I bought it for a 9 year old niece who wanted a place to keep her money that was secure from those pesky younger siblings.Sounds - way too loud, someone else hit the nail on the head that it sounds like you are on a space ship. Everyone in the next room over would know you are accessing your money, though a folded up piece of tissue taped over the speaker would probably muffle the sound enough.Ease of Use - maybe the one I got was a little worn but I didn't find it easy to use, took several tries to put in the name and change the PIN. The buttons are clunky and don't always register, it was rather frustrating.Money - Bill feeder worked fine, having to type in what amount was being put it wasn't a problem. Coins you have to be careful with, I found resting the coin in the slot and then pushing firmly so that it pops in worked well to keep the machine from registering a coin that didn't actually make it in. Still, as long as you keep track and set aside any coins that registered but didn't make it you can open the cash door and add them in later.Cash compartment - Some complain that the money just rattles around, but that's easily solved with a cereal box, scissors, tape and pretty wrapping paper, you could even construct little bins in the box to hold certain items. The door only has one latch (in the middle) so the corners will warp outward over time. The big problem, for me and the reason I returned it, the door opens ANY TIME YOU PRESS THE OPEN BUTTON, with the wrong PIN, even when it is off. This rendered the item completely useless for my purposes. Might be because the item was used, I'd like to hear if this was true for anyone buying it new.Overall, it is a toy, feels like cheap plastic and behaves that way (clunky temperamental buttons, warping door, scratches easily). If you want something that makes loud noises and that the kids can put money into and out of and you don't mind paying $$ for it, then this is perfect for you.

Make sure you get the product you ordered!
I originally bought the $40 version. It was very flimsy and the voice cut out at the end. I sent it back and purchased the $90 version. I was charged $90 but received the flimsier version for $40. Make sure to compare what you receive to what is shown on the website. This was a birthday gift for my grandson in two days. Now I get to go out and find something else. I'm not sure of the durability of the $90 one as I never received it.

Almost there
With some much needed improvements, this concept can be a terrific learing experience. However, the machine is about as close as a real ATM only in the name. The dollar mechanism will not pull in the money. I had to shove in a business card in order for it to pull. The coin slot is the best feature because it works! It is a terrific start. I hope the makers will use the profits for an updated version.

Money Fun
We ordered this for Christmas and it lasted 1 day before the money slot stopped working, the second one Amazon sent was already broken when it arrived, the money draw was cracked. I returned them both and bought one from Target. My daughter has had this for one month now and she loves it, it tallys her money for her and she is more aware of her spending when she has to actually type in the amount into the ATM machine that she wants to withdraw.A useful tool to teach begin to teach about money.

Excellent Toy!!
I bought this toy to my son who is 3 years old. He doesn't understant good, yet, the machine, but he learn already put the corrrect Pin when he introduce the card. He likes a lot his toy, enjoy introducing coins and bills. I'm happy because I think he is the only boy in Peru (SouthAmerica) who has this toy!!
