Very sturdy, easy to assemble and looks great

Sturdy, really easy to put together. Just make sure to pre-sand really well and condition the wood before staining. There were several places that didn't take stain well and some spots that never took stain, maybe from glue? Anyway I ended up using Unicorn Spit to stain the top, it covers a multitude of issues.

I was looking for a wider desk that was sturdy. This is it! Solidly built. Easy to assemble. Plenty of room for my computer tower, keyboard and monitor (even a dual monitor setup). I use an under-desk printer stand with it. I like that I was able to purchase it unfinished for less money. And I can choose to finish it to my preference. However, even unfinished it looks nice. Shaker style. Packaged well. Heavy. Arrived a day earlier than expected.

I live the desk; the size is just what I need for a sewing table. No cramping with side drawers giving me limited space. Plenty of room to work. Ease of style, simplicity at it's finest. Wide and deep, unlike sewing cabinets that are offered with limited workroom. It's perfect. Only one little "flaw" on the top where there is a slight indention, but probably where there was a notch in the woid, as it is completely stained. And the Chestnut color is " drop- dead" gorgeous!! Goes very well with my surrounding deep maple pieces in the room. Just wonderful! Great Company!!*****5***** star Seller!Goes for much more at Wayfair, under a different name. The media could not be loaded. Desk top has 6 inch gouge right in the middle.They are sending me a new desktop so that's good. The desk is beautiful solid wood. They did not send the new desk top so I am downgrading to a 1

I bought this hoping that the solid wood would be more sturdy/long lasting, but in under a year the desk top began sagging noticeably in the center despite the fact that I don't keep anything heavy on it. The sagging also meant that the nuts holding the legs in place had to be tightened frequently as the legs would become loose. I ended up needing to replace it entirely in about 2.5 years. It's a beautiful piece and I had high hopes, but I regret buying it.

I am pleasantly surprised by this desk's quality. It is very well built. I purchased the raw wood version and it was easy to whitewash and finish.The only problem I've had with it is that a standard desk chair's armrests hit the desk and keep a chair from fully fitting under the desk (which is the case with any desk that has a drawer space under the tabletop). As much as I wanted the drawer to work, I removed the drawer and the hardware connecting the drawer to the desk and now my chair's armrests will fully fit under the desk and I can comfortably sit at the desk.Would purchase this desk again, even with the drawer issue.
