Not sharp. Ragged cutting edge. Junk
Once again Amazon bites me. I needed these to debride an uncomplicated a foot ulcer. I can't ship anything directly to me in Thailand because Thailand specifically bans the import of ANY medical device (even vitamins), including scalpels. Of course Thailand doesn't have curettes and even the biggest hospital suppliers have never heard of them. Also, Amazon will ONLY ship to Thailand using UPS, and in the past four years, Thailand/UPS has stolen every single order from Amazon to me, from iPhones to camera cleaning cotton swabs to my wife's feminine products to a computer -- every single one. 100% have been "absorbed" by Thai UPS working with Thai Customs. They then sell those items and split the proceeds (it's in the news but they don't care). So, I had to deliver this to family in the US, and they had to mislabel it and re-ship it to me in Thailand. Shipping JUST to Thailand was $45. They arrived today. I went to use the first one. Upon examination you can see that one side is dull, as is advertised. But the cutting side is nearly as dull. In addition, the cutting side is stunningly ragged. In desperation I tried to use the first one anyway. It DOES NOT CUT EVEN WET SKIN. It merely tears and gouges it. Clearly, these were made in China, because of the workmanship. I question now if they are even sterile. The one I used today made the ulcer look like an axe murder. Just complete and total, unmitigated junk. In order to return this I would have to pay the $45 shipping back to the US with only a 50% chance of it ever arriving due to Thai Customs thefts (yes, even on outgoing parcels). Any seller needs to be far, far more vigilant in selling ANYTHING from China, particularly critical items like this. Once again, Amazon's poor choice in sellers has truly let me down. I must now begin a whole new process of trying to find curettes that are actual curettes, and not some absurd clay modelling tool re-labelled as a surgical instrument, and this could take a couple of months. Profoundly disappointed here, and angry as hell. So tired of Amazon's quality control. In some cases it can cost someone their health -- maybe even their life. What a ridiculous situation.

Quality over Quantity.
I thought having 10 of these dermal curettes would last me a while, but so far I have used over 4 of them already because they loose their sharpness way too quickly. I got these because I have a wart on my hand and a dermatologist recommended I get these to shred off the dead skin and then apply salicylic acid; repeat; in order to have the wart gone. I give it 3 stars because you get 10 of these curretes, but they don't really last more than 2 days. Buy at your own risk.
