Very Nice Kit
Looking forward to this saving my fingertips when hand sewing items. Items are sturdy and seem well made. I have small hands, so the thimbles are a bit loose on my fingertips (and my fingernails make it a little more wobbly, but again, nothing major), overall all if this was anticipated as most standard size things don't necessarily fit my hands. The ring-type thimbles are adjustable. The leather ones will also do the trick. Nice needle holder and various sizes. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Perfect Starter Thimble Set W/ Useful Case - But Watch Out if You Have Sensitive Skin or Allergies
The PROS: As a beginner to embroidery and sewing, this kit was great for helping me figure out which types of thimble I prefer using, because of it being a pretty well spread variety pack; every common shape of thimble from ring to traditional is in here, in pairs, which was handy for someone like me, who wasn't sure which kinds to invest in yet.It gets a whole extra star (yes, really) though for coming packed in a great little surprisingly sturdy plastic case that has proven useful for transporting very small cross stitch projects and very small accessories: I can and frequently do fit say, a three inch embroidery hoop with aida stretched on it, a few skeins of or floss bobbins of embroidery thread, even if they're on a ring; spare needles; one or two short length seam rippers; a very tiny pair of embroidery scissors or thread snips; AND of course, several of the thimbles. And it will still close securely! The box could easily be used to transport or store the actual thimbles, but for me it basically serves as my pocket cross stitch kit now, for when I know I'm going to be out waiting at say, the doctors office, and have a tiny project to do. The outside is smooth textured, with rounded corners, and it's clear so you actually can see what you have inside it, all of which are also nice. Due the actual product quality of the items vs the benefits of a variety pack, this would ordinarily get a solid 3 stars from me, but the plastic case is so useful outside of getting it shipped, that again, I'm giving it a whole extra star just for that. That said: CONSRemember what I just said about the quality of the actual product being more like 3 star worthy? This is a cheap kit and as far as the thimbles themselves go, you definitely get what you pay for. By thimble, we have:- The "gold" or coppery looking ones (one of the rings and both of the finger shield type ones) are made of or surfaced with COPPER. Anybody who has sensitivity or allergy to copper should avoid using those to begin with, but anybody who knows how copper behaves in contact with skin oils and sweat can tell what my other issue, especially with the "gold" ring thimble, is going to be, which is that the copper can and WILL start oxidizing and especially in the case of the inside of the ring thimble, rub right off onto the skin with really obvious green marks, leaving whatever silvery metal is underneath exposed. So, that's something to consider.- the finger shield style ones are pretty awesome in shape (so much more agile and less sweaty than the traditional cup shaped ones and it really feels like I'm wearing medieval armor on my fingertips, which is very fun), but I found that using them too often leaves the pads of my fingers sensitive for a while. Not sure if it's the inside texture or the copper or both, but worth considering, as it had me switching between thimble styles to recover.- the "leather" thimbles with the metal coin thimble in the pads are NOT real leather, they are some sort of faux leather, which given the price point, I kind of assumed would be the case, but it is really worth noting, because first off, they're nowhere near as durable (or as flexible/gradually better-fitting) as real leather would be, even before the imperfect construction; they are a bit rigid, and won't take the kind of abuse leather can. But also, they smell kinda like vinyl or something to me? And I know some people are allergic or sensitive to vinyl and other plastics, particularly the scents/outgassing, some of whom have no problems with genuine leather, so. Very much worth noting. These ones were just good enough to make me consider getting one in real leather some day.- wound up barely using the cup shaped ones and the designs on them are cute, but I can almost guarantee the "gold" one is copper coated like the "gold" ring, so again, keep in mind it's likely to oxidize and likely to cause issues if your skin likes to freak out in contact with copper.TLDR: for the PRICE, given the variety of styles included in the set and the super useful case they came in, I was happy enough with the purchase and don't regret it; but, again, you mostly get what you pay for, and this set is a Cheap Set when it comes to the actual thimbles. Would really only recommend to beginner sewists/embroiderers who don't have copper or plastic allergies and want to figure out what styles of thimble they might like to use.
