🎸 Fuzz Your Way to Sonic Glory!
Blackout Effectors Musket Fuzz Effect Pedal is the logical progression from then to now. The MUSKET is based on one of the best selling fuzz circuits of all time – taken three giant muffy steps further. With tasteful adjustment of the PRE, FUZZ, FOCUS, MIDS, TONE & VOLUME controls, the MUSKET traverses the decades, the continents and the many iterations of the classic 4-stage fuzz circuit and beyond. The Pre control basically adds a clean boost on top of the fuzz circuit for all kinds of new weirdness while the Fuzz control interacts with it to not only control amount of fuzz but also sustain and compression. Here’s where it gets fun, the Mids knob lets you control the tonal flavor of the Musket from severly scooped up to completely flat and everything in between. The ability to adjust the mids brings a whole new world to the fuzz pedal and will make sure that you are never buried in the mix again. There are so many fuzz tones you can create with this incredible pedal- it would be a shame to miss out on any of them. If you need fuzz and you need it to be massive…

Great Pedal!!!
My first fuzz, after a long time of wanting to add one to my board, but feeling like most of them were one-trick ponies. The basic controls for Fuzz, Tone and Volume are standards and are the same found on the Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi, on which this pedal was based on. The extra three controls are for preamp (Pre), which adds a boost before the fuzz circuit and combined with it creates many shades of fuzz/distortion; a midrange control (Mid) which is not always found on this type of pedal, and a welcome inclusion; and a focus control (Focus), unique to this pedal, which cuts or increases the low end while sharpening or loosening the attack. All six controls have good range and work interactively, so for some settings the volume might need to be cut back and in other settings it might need to be increased. The sound of the Musket is huge. You can feel the thing. By itself or in combination with overdrives and distortions, you can dial in those thick tones from the 90s Smashing pumpkins, early Sabbath sludge, slabs of stoner metal, and much more. Haven't tried it with bass, but I'm sure it will deliver, since the low end is so generous and alive. Much recommended. No battery option, but powered by many of the common 9v adaptors available elsewhere (I use Visual Sound's "1 Spot").

Gilmour it's not
Bought a brand new Musket (blackout effectors Muff clone. I usually get suspicious if basic lettering on the enclosure is missing.1) There is no lettering for input and output.2) There is no lettering or any indication which polarity adapter it takes or which voltage.I had to open it up to figure out the polarity. If you would plug the wrong polarity adapter into it, it will burn out a clamping diode and then blow the circuit. Not very professional.I therefore give it 1/10, due to lack of effort from the manufacturer, to label inputs, outputs and power and polarity. It costs nothing to make the power universal polarity, and costs even less just to label interfaces. All that lack of crucial detail obviously casts doubt on the integrity of the electronics.Very bad. Also does not sound half as good as my Green Sovtek Muff or EHX V2 Muff. It also does not compare remotely with my Black Sovtek Muff which costs about $50. Gilmour it's not. It is the absolute beginners Fuzz. Look for a Sovtek or early version EHX

Excellent Fuzz Pedal
I've never owned a Fuzz pedal before. I had always tried to get the sound out of a distortion or OD pedal. After reading reviews, especially at gilmourish.com, I decided to buy this one. I play mainly at low levels and the reviews stated these were great at low and high volume. The quality is high and the construction is solid. The pedal sounds incredible. Really able to dial in the tones i was missing. This is not an inexpensive pedal, but it is the "right" pedal and for that I'd pay double the price.

Wow.
I recently decided to go back to playing all-tube amps and using pedals for my effects, but I was looking for a particular tone. I ordered this pedal after reading and watching some reviews online and when I got it..WOW. Not only can I get the tone I was looking for, but much more. Very versatile, great sounding pedal. Very quite for a distortion. Plus it looks cool, too. I highly recommend.

Best fuzz ever
This fuzz is the most organic, detailed fuzz pedal i have ever owned! The detail in the fuzz is amazing, it sounds so deep and so thick, yet retains all of the essential detail needed to accentuate all of your playing!Get it, you won't be disappointed!Sounds like the green russia fuzz so infamous for that great, 90's rock tone!

You know when you really want something to be awesome and it costs a lot and you sit there with your finger over the buy button?Well that was me with this. I have to say this was thing I have been missing for the 6 past years. I have had fuzz boxes. I guess I just didn't have the right one. I leave it on all the time. Sometimes I turn the fuzz down and use it as a boost but mostly it's on. I use the Musket and an EQ to bump it up and really get it going.I'm a blues player - ZZ, Hooker, and BB. My Small Fry never gets any action now. The Musket makes it sound weak and thin!!So do I love it? Yes. It's a fulfilling feeling to pay a shat ton of cash on something that turns out to do what you hoped it would.Life is short. Real pleasures are few. This thing is a pleasure.

This the best fuzz I ever played on
This the best fuzz I ever played on. I’ve used it on bass and guitar and it can dialed in to sound great on both. I have friends who love to borrow this pedal from me and I can’t blame them wanting to use it. First chord you hit you’ll feel like a rock star.
