Husband loves them!
These boots have both the width and arch support my husband was looking for. After years of trying out boots, these were the ones. Great brand too!

My strangest review to date
My old workbooks completely fell apart, quick, messing my foot up pretty bad! I ordered these. Couldn't wait. Well, my messed up foot blew up like a freaking balloon. I got these boots and can only wear the right one. My messed up left foot is in a heavy duty slipper. I've been limping on this boot for 3 days now and let me tell you! This right boot is awesome! 5 stars...lol Edit: I'm back to normal now and I really like these boots.

Very Stiff and not comfortable
I may have ordered a half size too large but in the beginning these chafed just above the ankle and I thought they would just wear in.Didn’t happen yet, but I don’t wear these regularly. Even so, these seem like a very stiff boot to me and seemed to lack decent side support, I can’t seem to tie them tight enough around the top to get a comfortable fir.

Possibly the worst pair imagine
Bought these in July 2010. It was the worst pair of work boots I’ve ever own.Ive worn these while working in; warehouse, attic crawl space, working in the yard, construction site, you get the idea. I’ve put these babies through a lot. The stitch is holding quite well. I’m still wearing them as I’m finally looking for a replacement. Look no further I keep telling myself. The boots are very comfortable and works as expected. All I had to do was purchase special arch support in soles. Other than that, these are the best boots.Does a really good job keeping water out. I’ve worked in construction sites and since I haven’t truly experience a nail puncture perhaps it’s because it just prevented it without my awareness, these babies protected me for years.Buy them, don’t wait.As for maintenance, I’ve hosed it down and I always take the in soles out to air dry the interior. Never had any issues. What these boots been through: I was in the construction remodeling business, done a lot of personal DIY projects, crawled in the attic many times, worked in the warehouse, running various network and electrical cables, tons of yard renovation projects, a full house renovation down to the studs, plumbing, you get the idea...Gosh, I was really hoping these would last forever. What is forever?

So good I bought 4 pairs in 5 years
And not because they wore out prematurely, I bought one set 5 years ago. Another 2 years ago and 2 pairs this month so I can alternate them from one day to the next to let them breathe. They're super comfortable, have the composite toe guard and don't slip in oil. I work in a diesel truck shop

a well made boot materials wise but too narrow even in wide size
a well made boot with high quality materials. too narrow even in wide size for me. about average weight for this style boot. I did find my heal lifted out easy. ended up returning them. Ive tried a few different styles in the wolverines, always in wide and they all seem narrow to me. great boots if you dont have a wide foot.

The best safety toe workboot I have ever had
More comfortable than description. I read some reviews, and there was some that said they was a little small. ( After highschool, I worked in a shoe store, and realized most people, including myself, didnt know how to get a good fitting shoe, especially when it comes to kids shoe. They would say it was too tight, so would go a size up. However, what they really needed was a wider shoe.) With that being said, I got a 9W. They are a slight bit longer than expected, but not too much. And, I think the 8.5W would be a little to short. I would like to try these in a regular store to find out for sure. They almost fit like a 9.5M, and are actually just as long, but my foot doesnt slide around in these like my last pair, which was 9.5M. So be familiar w your foot when deciding on the size. Dont get the wrong idea. They are extremely comfortable. Lightweight. The insole is a lot more comfortable than the last pair of wolverine boots I bought ( Overman NT 6 in-$203 final price, and I had to buy new insoles after first use due to discomfort.) The insoles are great. As a matter of fact, when I get the extra cash, Im buying another pair just to have for when these are done, which im figuring will be at least a year. Once again great boot. FYI: if this or any boot/shoe causes discomfort on top of foot, try lacing them differently. I discovered this reading a Running magizine. Skip the 2nd or third to last set of holes . Trial and error.... once again, i would highly recommend this boot.
